So glad AGon is finally healthy. Combined with Seager playing like an MVP, this team (minus starters) are peaking at the right time. |

That was a grown man at bat by Seager. Fouled off a boatload of pitches to get the eventual walk. |

He's a #3 pitcher. Be happy he got through 5 with a lead against Bumgarner. |

In light of how I've been so upset with Roberts that he continued to place Reddick in the cleanup spot, ahead of A-Gone, for most of the past couple of weeks, it's interesting that I said this back in May...

Should have moved Puig and a prospect or 2 for a starter and signed Cespedes in the offseason. Although Roberts would find a way to bat Howie Kendrick and his .300 slugging percentage cleanup.
I'm not sure what his problem is in that regard! |

Cueto pitching tonight. Let's see how our stacked LH line up does against him. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Seager, past 7 games: .640/.700./840
Impressive, but small sample size
Let's try last 15
.475/.529/.689
Wow, but still, only 15 games.
Doubt he does it for 30 -- lets find out
.403/.442/.612
I see you, Corey, I see you |

Yeah, remembered Grandal. Still, I don't think new management has done any better. Colleti deserves to be stroked for getting Justin Turner. |

I think they've been god awful up to this point. The big studs on this team are all courtesy of the previous regime. They've completely (bleep) shoring up the pitching staff. This team was absolutely starving for starting pitching help and in the most confounding series of moves I've ever seen, they went and got an outfielder in a position of zero need and ignored the former. |

They did get - statistically - the best AL pitcher in the first half. But his blisters have lingered, etc. |

Very proud of this team the way they answered the bell in the bottom of the inning every time the Giants scored to cut the lead or tie it up.
What a joy to watch this offense do what they've been doing, pretty much since the break.
Early on it was business as usual with the bully sucking, and the bats cold as ice, while our starting pitching carried the weight of the load.
Now, it's completely flip flopped.
Hope this offense continues to just somewhat resemble what it has since the break while incorporating Kersh back in the mix.
Knock on wood. _________________ 16 and counting.... |

Not to mention that pitcher has yet to top 100 innings in this decade. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

I was loving Monday/Kennedy during the road trips. I wish they would do a simulcast after Vinny leaves but, I know that won't happen. _________________ Thank you, Kobe. We love you. |

I still miss Ross Porter.
Monday is painful. Other than his lovely Vin Scully commercial, I've never heard him be anything but a long-winded, obnoxious bore. |

Charley Steiner is god-awful. It's like listening to Chris Roberts doing UCLA games. You have no idea what is happening when he describes something. As a radio guy, obviously your audience can't see what is happening, so it's your job to be descriptive and paint a picture in the listeners' heads. Simply put, he isn't skilled at that. And at times it feels like he's having a conversation with Rick Monday about something trivial and oh by the way, there's a baseball game going on, and he describes that in a casual way. And I hate how, when a pitcher throws a first-pitch strike to a batter, he says "and it's nothing and 1." I hate the phrase "nothing and 1."
I agree about Ross Porter. He always had those crazy stats at his disposal but he was into the game and very descriptive. Plus it was amusing to listen to him try to pronounce Latino players' names in his Oklahoma drawl. |

Hill has looked good through 5. Throwing a lot of strikes. I'm a little surprised that he only appears to have 2 pitches (fastball and curveball), but at least his curveball is a super-plus pitch (not quite Kershaw-esque, but damn good nonetheless). |

He actually lasted 6 innings. That's a rarity for us. I don't think it'll last as he hasn't had any kind of track record to suggest sustained starts, much less sustained success. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif
