Well, for what it's worth, barring any anti-trust blockage, AT&T is merging with Time Warner. Which means we will probably finally see the Dodgers on TV next year. YAY!

Time Warner spun off Time Warner Cable a while ago, they were separate companies. That part of the property was bought by Charter....
This upcoming merger with AT&T has nothing to do with Dodger TV rights. That is with the entertainment company that owns CNN and the rest of the media properties like TBS, TNT, and the rest of the media company.

Ah, what?

It means that merger will have zero effect on you getting to see the Dodgers. They don't own the TV rights for the Dodgers. Charter does.

They will be one of those teams that don't get a parade in LA even though they won, like the LA Galaxy.....its a Laker and Dodger town....

They lost the fire after game 3....I mean I remember some people were celebrating because they finally went up in a series in the NLCS...as we know in pro sports it ain't over till its over....I mean we saw a team come back from 3-0 to win 4-3......

It's still an Angels town too. I'm actually more of an Angels fan than a Dodgers fan lol, but the Angels have been stuck in the wilderness for years now .

In the 4 major sports the Kings are the only ones who have a chance in the foreseeable future.

My condolences....the Angels hold their parades in Disneyland...there is nothing LA about the Angels other than their owner trying to claim LA as their territory.

Freaking Lakers could have a chance if they could snag a couple of big FA's.

They didn't win for VIN...
On the other hand, I guess both Vinny and Tommy might see the Cubs win something for once.

Unfortunately, I could see the Kings start to go downhill, actually. Dodgers probably are set up with the best shot over the next few years.

They faced the minimum 27 batters. Let that sink in for a moment.

Time for an offseason overhaul. On the agenda: Re-sign Kenley and Justin, get rid of Baez and driftwood starters (looking at you Ryu, McCarthy, Anderson), sign Hellickson and Otani Shohei.

Won't happen. We'll lose Kenley and Justin. Re-sign Anderson, keep McCarthy, and sign Hellickson to a ludicious deal because they're all ex-A's/Rays.

Sad thing is you may be right.

I just hope Kasten gets more involved in the decision making.

I do too. He made the right move in vetoing yes man Kepler to bring in Roberts. I want this idiot sabermoron FO strung up by their balls and their blood used to repaint the fire lanes on Vin Scully Boulevard.

But what if we lost Turner/Jansen and ended up with Longoria/Davis? Would that count as a net positive in the former X-Rays category?

Who cares about Cubs fans.

Probably people with a modicum of class might be happy for them, which excludes 99% in this thread. So glad this is over. Horrible vibes here. Putrid.

Hockey is so streaky though. All you have to do is get into the playoffs and a hot goalie can take you all the way. The Cubs unfortunately are about to go on a late 90s Yankees run IMO.

Silver lining is that we took a 103 win team to 6 games. Also didn't lose to SF. Other than that, F it all.

You may have to address that with AT&T next if the mega-merger comes to fruition.

Tip of the cap to you Dodger guys. You had me nervous this series, and for good reason.

Doing a shot for my LG/Dodger friends right now.

What's say we do it again next year?
