I gotta go with these two in the Finals but I think Spurs might take it. SA added Lamarcus Aldridge to a 55 team without losing any of their key guys. It's kind of sick actually.
The only thing with the LMA/Spurs thing is team speed. The Spurs may be slower now, and although I think Pop is such a great coach he'll figure it out, Duncan/LMA together may run into some trouble come playoff time. They may just be best served running a lot of units with only one of them out there. They will need it come playoff time. Some series no, but in 1 or 2 (especially GST) matching up with quicker smaller teams will be an issue for SAN if they plan on using Duncan/LMA together. Would be very wise to find a 4 man who can play with either Duncan or LMA. I don't think Diaw is that guy. Leonard could slide up and play that position really well in some instances, though.

I don't think SAS takes the west this year.. I think they're gonna need a year of gelling for chemistry plus I know we should never count out Duncan/Parker/Ginobili but I think next year those 3 will really show their age plus I think OKC is gonna come super hungry this year, Durant and Westbrook are just due for a ring _________________ Lake Show
I've learned to never count out the Spurs...even the Clippers had a really hard time with them last year and were pushed to the brink. As far as OKC goes, they've had the same core for so long and have always underachieved......

Then those very same Clippers failed to make it past the second round after choking a 3-1 lead... and although OKC has underachieved with it's same core I think it is because they were young, now KD and Russ are entering their primes plus new coach in Billy Donovan plus some nice acquisitions of Dion Waiters and Enes Kanter I think it puts them over the hump _________________ Lake Show

Thunder vs Bulls
Yes I think the Cavs won't get there 5 consecutive trips to the Finals LeBron is on the wrong side of 30 it will catch up with him.
I think the Thunder will win it all after dumping their coach
I would love this finals matchup but sadly I don't think the Bulls make it past the Cavs due to their injury issues and even though LeBron is on the wrong side of 30 he's still LeBron... joined by 2 legit all stars Kyrie and K Love _________________ Lake Show

The Cavs have injury issues of their own with Irving.
Also will LeBron's body be able to hold up physically for a 6th straight finals appearance?
I would love to see Pau win his 3rd ring but OKC would probably win this matchup assuming their healthy.
Hard to call , hard to call. If healthy I'd take the slightest lean towards the Thunder.
I think there are 5 true contenders - Thunder, Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Cavs. Rockets being least likely to win out of the bunch. The rest of that pack is pretty even to me right now at least. Injuries will play a part imo, Cavs and Thunder will be lucky to be healthy by the end.
The Clippers aren't true contenders, their bench is so overrated.
I do have Harden for MVP though. I think Lawson will make his life a lot easier, make him more efficient, keep him energized.

good point 6 straight is a lot even for a great athlete like lebron and klove and irving have been pretty banged up lately.. I guess it'll come down to how well Blatt manages everybody's minutes, hopefully the bulls knock them out though _________________ Lake Show
Okc champs. Kevin Durant cements himself as top player in the game. It's his time. _________________ Maybe you think it's completely innocent. Maybe you don't. But there's no denying that what the rule book says means a lot less than what the NBA wants at any given moment. -Tim Donaghy
I so hope none of these teams do, just like last year.
SA - I respect the org, but dread the Duncan more rings than Kobe so Duncan > Kobe argument, which Id personally have to respect. Worse than that, would hate the Spurs org > Lakers org historically, which would be even more wretched and would not respect that argument ever.
Clippers - Hall Naw for obvious reasons
Cavs - Lebron another coasting playoffs in the East and nonsensical top 10 player of all time blather
Thunder - Dont want anything to diminish possibility that KD or Westbrook (or both :prayericon) come here.

Houston - obvious
So, go Warriors repeat? 2nd choice Grizz
Westbrook/Durant aren't coming to LA either way let's be realistic _________________ Lake Show

Spurs/Cavs, with Spurs in 6. Duncan goes out as LeBron's biggest nemesis and a six-time champion.
Clippers, OKC, and GSW will all be very tough outs though. I think GSW's over-reliance on three point shooting will eventually catch up to them at some point in the playoffs this year. Clippers are still chokers, even with the addition of an all-time great clutch performer in Pierce. OKC is stacked but doesn't have great chemistry.
Memphis will probably be a second round out due to their lack of scoring. Houston will be a first or second round out as Dwight continues to decline.
Remaining two playoff spots go to the Pelicans and maybe Dallas, and both will be first-round outs. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Something tells me that LeBron is going to have a season ending injury on his back, so the Cavs are out.
The NBA Finals matchup might be Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards as they reignite the rivalry from 40 years ago.
That's if John Wall becomes a superstar, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter breaks out and Kelly Oubre becomes solid though.
Realistically I can see the NBA Finals featuring Warriors/Thunder vs Heat/Bulls.
