he aint the one coaching though gotta stick to that princeton offense boy, or else you wont play. ask Byron |
Is that what we're running tho? All I see on offense is confusion... |
Your comment reminds me of that Eagles song: "Backed up against a wall of confusion. Living a life of illusion" |
Nice! |

Posts like this are no better. Kobe wouldn't have been closing out on all of these shooters. |
Please. Kobe's defence may not be what it used to be, but you're telling me he offers nothing to make this team better than THIS?! |
Not at this stage of his career, no. |
Ok. So he should retire immediately then? Why would he suit up in even 1 game by your logic then?? |
He can still contribute. He just can't single handedly carry a team anymore. He's old and banged up already.
How many wins should Kobe carry this team to? We were on pace for 28 wins when he went down last year, then tanked and ended up at 21. Don't be silly. |
silly...??? wow.
Listen my clear point was to peeps saying Kobe offers 'nothing' or saying this group of rookies is better off without him, period!. Not a direct point to defense. I also DID NOT say he would carry this team to a win in this game or others. Its about him still contributing and adding leadership and scoring.
Therefore, see the bolded part of your last post. You actually agree with me. Silly huh? |
You said to make the team better than this. He wouldn't have made us better than this today. Every player can contribute. |
You honestly believe this team would NOT have been better with the addition of a fit and healthy Kobe in this game today? NOT better at all.....???
If so. WOW. _________________ "We might have had the worst season ever or could have the worst season ever for a Lakers team, but now let's have the greatest comeback that the league has ever seen." - Kobe Bryant |

I like that we shot 24 threes, but making 35+% would be better |

Well, at least half of my prediction was semi-accurate. Oddly as I remembered this post I thought it was 137, come to find I was off by a few more....

When they were discussing hiring Byron I put him on the same plain as Mike Brown.

I dont expect anything positive in terms of game outcomes. Its been the case for a few years. |

I am flat out guaranteeing a win opening night.
We could lose the next 10 in a row after that, but we win the opener. Hero ball. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Just a reminder to everyone that preseason games don't count. We got our asses kicked by quite possibly the best offensive team in the history of the league. They look so much better this season.
The champs came to ball and Coach Walton stuck with his usual rotations. Byron experimented quite a bit out there, and I did not like his substitution patterns. I hope they aren't an indication of things to come. |

Now that Upshaw is gone, the only young guys left to root for are Black and Nance. Of course, they are the only ones that would benefit from minutes in this game, but of course thy are the only ones not playing. |
Message to Nance, Sacre, Black: you are not part of rotation.
We will see a lot of Bass/Kelly combo. |

I dunno. I'm watching it online and they - particularly Coach Dave - seem pretty disgusted. But they may start blaming the players and they've already mentioned "health". |
