I'm excited for the NBA season. And yes, the Lakers are still god awful.

its on national tv...
Rubio v JC
Wiggins vs Brown
Prince vs Kobe
Randle vs Garnett
Hibbert vs Towns
Lou, Bass, Young, kelly and DLO vs muhammed, lavine, Martin, dieng, and miller.
I would rate the starting 5 and bench 5 in favor of Minn. Key to beating Minn is to stop rubio from controlling the game, ball movement from us and defensive awareness. In the preseason we were absolutely terrible defensively, while Minn probably is good defensively individually. Look for KG and Towns to clog the lane and Wiggins defensively to shut down his man.
Hibbert will have his work cut out for him

Minnesota is going to have extra motivation to win this game for Flip. I hope the Lakers win. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Go Lakers!... Kobe needs to play 30 mins and stay healthy for 82 games. If he does that we are in the playoffs. |

Ah ha! I was wondering where this game thread was. I was like we had one for all of the preseason games but there isn't one for the actual season opener Lol!
Thanks Kb24goldenChild for starting the thread.

KG? KG? You worried about Kevin Freaking Garnett? I would worry about Towns, Wiggins, and Martin. Especially Martin. Dude lights us up every damn time. Also worry about Kobe leaving Prince open to "roam" as usually. But Kevin freaking Garnett???? _________________ New Beginings |

This is "Old School" Byron we're talking about here. Wouldn't be surprised if we double team KG or Prince in the post |

We have an easy schedule to start the year, especially compared to last year. Wouldn't surprise me if we started 6-0. |

Lakers 145
Wolves 83
Thought I'd throw out a little optimism here since we've no losses yet this season. |

Tonight is a must win as far as I am concerned, we can't afford to lose games at home to a team like Minnesota even in October.
Unless this is a season of course. Then this is a key game to lose. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |
