Porzingis playing for Luke in the new system......Porzingod indeed
I would definitely trade the #1/#32/JC pick for him, maybe Phil helps us out since hes eventually coming to LA.. after Jim/Mitch get canned
Waaaay too much. Wow.
The absolutely astonishing levels of overrating that guy continues.
Lol you trade that much for KAT not for Porzingis. Dude is definitely getting overrated a bit.
JC/#32 are not worth anything, you acting like I'm including Randle/Dlo.. that would be too much, but I would trade the #1 pick for Porky and so would the Lakers FO I'm sure.
I doubt it. I would bet they believe Simmons and Ingram are better prospects as they should.
If that's the case I'd make that trade in a heart beat if the Lakers can land Durant.
Porzingis offers incredible ... I mean INCREDIBLE spacing for Durant and Randle to attack.
He'll be the kick out for DLO or anyone who attacks the basket.
Defensively, his length will help Randle out soooo much on the weakside as well as being a protector for the guards.
Porzingis in Luke's space and pace offense would be a way better fit than Simmons (shooting ability) and Ingram (no playing time behind Durant).
Lakers will amazingly still have $35-40M to spend on players to surround KD! _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

I remember reading a lot of Lakers fans would go for Jaylen Brown if the Lakers get the third pick, has that view changed now? I'm not seeing Jaylen Brown's name mentioned as much as it was a few weeks ago.
I'd still be interested in Jaylen Brown if the Lakers traded down. The issue is the same w/most ... consistent jumper but the bigger issue is ball handling since he's a shooting guard at the NBA level. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

You are DRASTICALLY overrating Porzingis ability to shoot the ball. He's a good but by no means a great or INCREDIBLE shooter. There's a misconception on here that the Warriors offense is based on being able to shoot the ball. I can see why it would seem like that but it isn't. It is based around quick decisions with the ball, ball movement and making the extra pass. They just happen to have the best shooting team in the league so they shoot a lot of 3s. Simmons is perfect for a Warriors type of offense.

People talking about Porzingis like he's prime Dirk. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Oh good lord, we're doing workout videos now. He's a big that shoots an anemic 42% from the field and his "spacing" is 33% from 3. I'd take him in a heartbeat but that's a huge leap from giving up the #1 for him. No, no GM would trade Ingram/Simmons for him. That's just a hot garbage take.

I'm pretty sure I have to work on the 17th, so I dunno if I'm gonna be home in time for the lotto. I'm sure that I'd die at the suspense if I were to watch it live though.

No we aren't, if we don't keep this years we get ours next year. With this draft and the talent in the late first, our second round pick could end up being a good one.
As for the lottery, we will be coming home from Laughin that day for my daughter's 21st, so I won't be watching. I can't even remember the last time I watched the pick selection. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Thank goodness for that $60mil cap space if we do drop to 4. Just imagine if we were capped out and relied solely on keeping our pick. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I hope no one wants Thon Maker and he's available when we pick. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've read losing the pick is a better scenario than getting the 3rd pick. The talent drop off is so much from 2 to 3. So having a pick next year would supposedly be better. Having said that we're getting number 1
Might be, it should be before my class starts. _________________

I've been focusing on free agency and avoiding anything draft related for a while now. I don't want to get too attached to players who will be on other teams' rosters next year.
If I get word that the Lakers kept their top 3 pick, then I will be excited, probably check out online videos of the lottery after the fact and get caught up on all the who should we pick or trade the pick for threads.
If not, then I will probably pay some attention to who is available for the second round pick but keep my focus on improvement through free agency. _________________ BORN REBLE
