If they can avoid further injuries and stupid antics (yeah, DLo, talking about you) then this could be a home-grown, self-drafted, high-quality starting 5 (like what OKC used to have) in maybe 2-3 years.

PG - Russell
SG - Clarkson
SF - Ingram
PF - Randle
C - Zubac

6th man - Nance
7th man - Young

Just boggles the mind.

You better not mean Nick Young. Because he needs to get the hell out.

I think he meant James Young.

Oh...well then by all means carry...

A CELTIC!? KILL YO SELF!

Rick Fox was a Celtic, but he went full benedict arnold and three-peated with us.

You sound like Jalen Rose.

Also, Young as your 7th man over Lou? I'll predict he'll be stretched in about a week.

Honestly that move should've been made a couple of years ago.

Well, the Lakers have a better change signing star FAs so I take the latter if you're talking about better nucleus going forward, though I would rank the players:

1. KAT
2. DLO
3. Ingram/Wiggins
+1

Us and Minny have 2 very exciting young teams.

KAT/Wiggins/Dunn/Lavine//Shabazz/Dieng-- Thibs

D'LO/Ingram/Randle/Clarkson//Nance/Zubac/Brown -- Walton

Minny gets the edge just becuase of of Towns but we have something special brewing as well. I can't wait to see D'LO explode this year. The difference is we have a very unique opportunity to attract some really good free agents this summer and next.

Horford/Leonard/Zubac
Randle/Nance
Ingram/Lee/Brown
DeMar/Lou
Russell/Clarkson

Something like that would be amazing. I'm somewhat torn on DeMar but even Bazemore or Parsons or someone on that level would be terrific and still allow for the young guys to really grow into something special.

Don't disrespect Kobe like that....No one should wear 8 or 24.

Retire one of them, not both. Give Kobe his choice.

derrick jones is one of the best dunkers i've ever saw. dont know if he can play basketball though.

There's a couple of interesting dudes still available:

Dorian Finney-Smith, Rasheed Sulaimon, wayne selden, jarrod uthoff..

There's a misconception on LG that other teams actually see trade value in him. Year after year goes by and we definitely haven't been able to get a 1st round pick for him or he would've been gone already. It's possible that teams haven't wanted to part with a 2nd rounder for him either and are just waiting for the Lakers to waive him.

I don't think there is a misconception about swaggy, he has a decent contract now, I don't think the lakers would get much of anything for him if at all which is why many have said trade him if you can, stretch him if you can't

The off court stuff was DLo, but I just don't like the level of professionalism that Young brings to the table with so many young players on the roster. I would prefer the temptation of hanging out with Nick Young not be around these young guys.

My bad, meant Brown. Kept focusing on the fact our team was so young and did a typo. Fixed it in original post.

Is he 24 as I thought I read somewhere.

If 24 he should be ready to contribute right away.

Zubac is 19 yr old. He won't be able to contribute right away.
a 24 year old center you read somewhere is Moustapho Fall.
He is a 7'2" center with 7'6" wingspan/9'7" standing reach who can move
like a average PF with good motor. but he started bball when he was 17 yrs old, so he is still very raw eventhough he is 24.
Very interesting prospect nevertheless. Imo, a guy with that size and length who can move like that should be looked upon.

Are you his agent? lol You keep mentioning him.

He never should have been re-signed in the first place.

I don't see any room on the roster for him especially since we already have our project C in Zubac. Furthermore, he's behind the curve when compared to Zubac especially given his age (24 vs 19), and his measurables are only a little better than Zubac's.

Houston Rockets will sign undrafted free agent Gary Payton II to three-year deal, league sources inform @clevelanddotcom.

Damn, why couldn't the Lakers do this?

Look at it from Payton's perspective. His chances of making the Lakers 15 man roster would be close to zero given their current personnel.

Because we stupidly reached on Anthony Brown and then gave him a multi-year contract.

I would take GPII over Brown.

Exactly. Alexis Jones etc. Look, it's obvious that Nick is more into the celebrity of being a Laker (pro ball player) than actually being a valued member of a team. His whole Swaggy P persona etc. Hopefully he'll be jettisoned out soon.
