If we can't beat an injured Indiana and Charllote team, how do you expect us to beat New Orleans tomorrow night? How do you expect us to have any chance against the back-to-backs against Houston and Dallas? Exactly, we have absolutely no chance. All these losses will begin to add up and add up and teams behind us will slowly catch us and knock us out of the playoffs. We're a mediocre team to begin with, we need all the easy wins we can get. |

de ocho is right...we've looked terrible at times this year only to suddenly go 6-1 on a road trip. we're unpredictable.
one thing I'm worried about though is Lamar being out for a number of games. we never play good without him. |

Ok, at what point do we stop saying, "it's just one game"? I mean, seriously. At what point? _________________ If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball. ~Phil Jackson |

It's always just one game. The last two games hot teams and particular guys hurt us. Tomorrow, we'll shut Chris Paul down. |

Hot teams?
Are you kidding me? The Bobcats, a hot team? They had lost 13 straight for goodness sake. If those teams seemed hot, it was the Lakers that made it appear that way. _________________ If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball. ~Phil Jackson |

I'm talking about shooting hot, on one given night. |

Got ya. But I think it's our poor defense and terrible play in general that made those teams seem so hot. We just stink right now, to be perfectly honest. _________________ If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball. ~Phil Jackson |

You may be right...I'm just hoping it's not terrible defense, and maybe just a perfect storm of lousy teams at home breaking out of shooting slumps against us. |

I'm so disappointed. I realize that they will be able to turn it around but it almost looks like they don't have a chance the rest of this road trip. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. Maybe they'll pull it off the rest of the way. |

We will soon find out what the Lakers role players are all about, if Kobe continues to see this defensive strategy throughout the league. With a double constantly coming at Kobe, our other perimeter players have to find the right spot, step up, and make a play. With Lamar Odom out, this leaves us looking for the right spot and the right player to be there. Our players have to be spotted at the 3pt line, and not five feet back. Spacing is crucial, and this spotted double on Kobe leaves a lot of shots there. |

This team looks awful. And worse, they do not seem to care. |
I know LO is out, but I was also looking to see our intensity coming out after that Indy game. We should have played with a high level of pissivity. We should have been hustling like mad on D. Instead, we pick up where we left off with a 40-point quarter to the Bobcats of all teams. Not a good response. I'd be trashing something in that locker room after this game. |

It's 3 games when the Lakers get mopped up tomorrow. And then 4 and 5 after Dallas and Houston. |

40 points in the first quarter. Jumaine Jones career high 31 points. What were we talking about? _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |
