6/19 tonight, 31/97 this season. Still he eats first. He's taking 20% of the total shots of the whole team but only shooting an ugly 32% from the field.

Too bad Byron's too chicken to tell him, and instead blames the young players and benches them.

Honestly, it's his farewell tour. It's not that surprising.

It's also why Byron will remain coach this season.

Hard to watch. If he could keep his threes down he'd be much more efficient.

Exactly! I can't understand why he or Scott doesn't address this. He's already attempted close to the same amount of 3pt attempts through 6 games, that MJ had for the entire year, at 37 years old.

Stop Winnin's for Simmons
Going Down for Brown
Lose We Shall for Skal
Playin' Dumb for Ingram

It's starting to look like this is the guy he is now. His shooting percentage has been pretty consistent through six games. He's been pretty much exactly at 20 percent from threes, 30 percent and change overall. We need to change things up for him. Most important: CUT DOWN ON THE THREES. Ten today is just idiotic, even with a couple of desperation heaves in the last minute after we gave the game away. KOBE, YOU ARE NOT, AND HAVE NEVER BEEN A GOOD THREE POINT SHOOTER, STOP TAKING THEM ALL THE DAMN TIME.

Kobe needs to retire this season. He's done. He just is.

Not just that, but him being in the court with the other starters hurts the team's offense. They look for him and call plays for him. It's not totally Kobe's fault (it's on Scott) but with Kobe on the court, the others won't look for themselves or for any other than Kobe.

Especially when Metta was having a wonderful game.

How do u know he is done? He is playing with 3 rookies and 1 mental midget?

Please go look at the stats of randle, clarkson, lou williams and n young before complaining about kobe

Not to defend Kobe, but he'll stop eating first when Byron stops shoving a full plate of food in is face every night.

An offense that isn't centered around getting Kobe iso looks in late situations sure would help. Watching them wasting time looking exclusively for him down the stretch was disgusting.

If you're talking about Hibbert, you should check his stats. He was the Lakers best player today

who's Kobe to brand those guys scrubs? just because they haven't putting up stats? guess who's been taking all the freaking shots, one pass and done, no ball rotation, ball sticks with Kobe. until Lakers lose a game when Kobe take a back seat, all losses IS ON KOBE so far this season

He shouldn't be the featured player on offense. The idea that going to a 37 yr old who will retire in a few months is a good one, is just embarrassing.

It felt like the rest of the team just wanted him to have all the shots because it was his last game at MSG.

Which will basically be like this whole year assuming it's the "farewell tour."

Did you watch the 4th quarter at all? Clarkson didn't shoot well for the first time this season, he's human after all. Whatever it happens. Randle struggled as expected against the taller players.

Kobe however keeps taking bad shots and ruins the flow of the offense. It's more than just missing shots, it's how they missed.

Clarkson missed shots but they were good looks, Kobe missed shots but were terrible shots. See the difference?

we're probly better off starting anthony brown. he's our best chance at being the 3D guy who doesn't stop the ball from moving. russell and clarkson gets more opportunities to shine. kobe needs to be reduced to a bench role.
