JJ, and I think a lot of us said it at the time, reminded me a lot of a young Rick Fox. He could do a little of everything and he seemed to really be aware of his role on the team. It's amazing that Phil slept on him and ultimately sent him packing without really giving him a chance.

You have Caron who was traded that seemed to really mesh with Kobe and could match his intensity more nights than not. And you have JJ who was our best (some would say only) hustle guy who even though may not have necessarily understood the offense, he knew how to fill in the gaps and generate positive contributions. And he also knew how to play well with Kobe. Both traded for basically nothing.

Makes you wonder....
