Selfish ball. Lots of guys that just look to shoot first. Too many isolation plays.

That's what happens when you have a coach who knows what's doing.

All on the offensive system

Phoenix = non-stop high pnr

LA = 1 pass, 1 shot

brandon knight would be the best player on this laker squad though tbh, he's not a scrub

selfish? what do you expect when your offense sets consist of passing the ball to hibbert or bass at the elbow and everyone running around bumping into each other with the lack of space? clarkson on that team would be posting crazy numbers.

You have to figure that we will only get assists when our DLO, Clarkson, Artest or Kobe, Randle and Hibbert lineup is playing. There won't be many from the rest of the team.

We don't have a offensive system.

Byron shows old AND1 mixtapes at film study.

There isn't a single player on the Suns who would look good on the Lakers or Byron Scott's system.

What difference did it make? The Lakers nearly shot 50/40/90 as a team.

They lost because the Suns got 16 more shot attempts due to offensive rebounds and less turnovers.

I don't think Lakers even play pick n roll, they always do screen n rolls, with the bigs never rolling. Waste of DLo's passing strenghts.

Dlo is a bust.

Rondo is averaging 10 assists a game and he was a free agent. We should of signed him instead and drafted a center

And the Kings have 2 more wins then the Lakers. You're acting like he has them as some world beaters.

2.8 APG from our starting PG, these offensive sets are clearly not working. why is BScott not fired yet?

I recall one possession where Russell made a nice move to the basket and he dishes it off to Hibbert and he fumbled it away. Did he do that a lot in Indy?

Yeah and if some of the posters on this board were Pistons fans, they would've run him out of town. Would've called him a bust because he didn't produce up to their standards his rookie season. Now look at the kind of player he is. Let's hope Russell doesn't get traded twice before he turns 23.

Princeton offense emphasis equal offense to all 5 players, but to this Lakers team it's clearly just a screen and roll then pass for an isolation play.

D-Lo needs to pick up his pace at times. He seems to be too tentative/passive and does not attack when he should.

Attack to where exactly though? Hibbert/Randle both clog the paint.

PostPosted: Tue Nov 17, 2015 7:31 am    Post subject: that is the problem

The offense should be a lot better than what it is.

First thing I would stop is ISOs. There isn't the talent for it. But first guy taking one shot unless it is wide open is benched.
Want to see ball movement and some player movement.
Players are too greedy looking for their own shot instead of setting
others up.

Defense with Hibbert and MWP in there is good.

No matter the talent, ISOs is not efficient offense (unless there's an overwhelming mismatch).
LeBron knows it (see most recent NBA finals), Phil Jackson knew it when he installed Tex Winter's triangle, MJ and Mamba know it too.

Not sure, but Hibbert does this all the time with the Lakers. His hands are Kwame-esque. Saw this live, and it was infuriating to the Lakers fans around me.
