@Mike_Bresnahan
Here come the old-school boxing-out drills at practice. Byron Scott: "Oh yeah. We're definitely having them this week. I guarantee you."

@ForumBlueGold
Yes. Lets punish them physically after playing 7 games in 11 nights, 6 of which were on the road. Sounds good. Yes.

@SerenaWinters
Byron on players being tired: "I keep hearing about this back-to-back, that’s a bunch of crap...it’s basketball you come ready to play."

@SerenaWinters
Byron Scott once again called for players to "man up," said he thought the Suns was "10 times better" than the Lakers

Like Phil punished his players with old school passing drills when they made a lot of TOs? Block out drills are a great idea after the game I just watched.

I'm pretty sure most of us put more effort into armchair coaching the game than he puts into actually coaching the game. Guy is an assclown.

Easier. Just stop playing bass at center.

More disconcerting than that is that he apparently said "man-up" again.

Yea, do that instead of working on ball movement and improving teammates understanding on the field. Tank commander FTW. Next coach will have to start from scratch as this season will be a washout both from results and development perspective.

I'm sorry but if he uses box out drills as "punishment" rather than having them to teach fundamentals, he should be fired.

I don't mind box out drills. But not running our players into the ground for being tired.

For 3 quarters we played great defense, and then ran out of gas.

What's wrong with box out drills?
These guys apparently need it.

Energy may have been the issue but theres also the brilliant decision to let Lou and Huertas Guard prime Isiah Thomas out there.

Lmao. Byron is basically a caricature of an overly macho former jock at this point.

Byron puts in a guy who isn't even a center, watches him get killed by someone who is a center, and his response is to "MAN UP"

If he wants to tarnish his memory as a player, he is doing a goooood (bleep) job.

That lay up line drill will make a coach go bonkers. What is with this group of Lakers? Well, it's been like this since Mike Brown's time. Easy baskets for opponents. 3 years of lottery. Are we going for 4 next year?

With Brandon Bass at center. No worries, though. This is nothing a few more sprints and three hour practices won't fix.

Yes... because this old-school method has clearly been working, not just the last two seasons with the Lakers, but also any other team you've coached.

Byron says all the right stuff as in he wants to win, but his actions in coaching - playing peeps out of position and horrible sub/rotation patterns - smell of tanking sadly!

I'm just glad the media is starting to give Byron Scott the MDA treatment lol. Honestly, MDA probably didn't deserve 1/3 of the crap he got from every which way.
