Just heard on TWC, will link when someone posts it.

Byron also says Black and Sacre won't get minutes for now unless Lakers get out rebounded again.

I am not kidding.

@MarkG_Medina:
Byron said he's not planning to play Sacre or Tarik Black unless Lakers have a few more bad rebounding games happen.

Did he at least explain why? Probably not. Unless it's something generic like "man up".

I have really wanted to give Scott the benefit of the doubt, but it has gotten to the point where it's impossible.

On the bright side, it's nice that he's finally embracing technology. I hear he was using this in yesterday's film session.

I'm guessing he feels he owes it to the vets who chose to come here as FA's to give them playing time. It wouldn't be a great look to make those guys ride the pine, especially when you'd probably lose every game anyway. Hopefully Bass and Lou get traded midseason and the youngsters can get more run.

His advanced analytics show that Bass has the edge in manning up, grit and being old school.

He's secretly increasing their trade value.

Phil Jackson has nothing on Byron.

But he's doing Bass a major disservice in playing him at center.

He's a good backup PF. Why is he hurting Bass by playing him at center?

This just solidifies that foolish pride is what governs Byron.

I don't understand why a coach who supposedly preaches defense would play a 6-8 forward at backup C over Black who actually rebounds well, hustles and gives some rim protection.

Has anyone else realized that Bass is the same height as Kobe, and probably not even tall enough to play PF?

It looks exactly like Scott! The only thing it's missing is the baggy suit

He is our PF with the best PER playing out of position. It is coach fault play a 6'8 guy at C.
Every time he goes in I know bad things will happen, but it is not his fault at all.

I have!

There is no reason in hell to play bass there. Why, just why? It's just like Ronnie Price playing over JC last season. It took a damn injury to get Byron to finally play the better player.
