If we get out-rebounded some more? We're the 3rd worst team in the league in rebounding differential. How many more games do you need until you figure this out? I'm one of the biggest small ball advocates here, and even I think Bass at the 5 is stupid.
This is so dumb.
We're the only team that didn't attend the analytics conference and it is SHOWING.
There were actually apologists stating how it didn't matter that we didn't have a rep there...that in fact the Lakers indeed have a robust analytics staff. As laughable then as it is now.
On the plus side, if Bass was going to take away time from somebody I'd rather it be Black, Kelly, and Sacre than Nance. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)
Has anyone else realized that Bass is the same height as Kobe, and probably not even tall enough to play PF?
Well, to be fair, Bass and Black are roughly the same size. Black is about an inch taller; they weigh the same; and have identical wingspans.
Both of them are more suited to power forward than center.
Whatever they are listed at, Black is clearly 10-15 lbs heavier and much stronger.
Hard for me to get worked up about this one.
Personally, I'd prefer Nance to get more time, but I am indifferent about Black vs. Bass. I don't think overall you really get that much more with one than the other.
@MarkG_Medina:
Byron said he's not planning to play Sacre or Tarik Black unless Lakers have a few more bad rebounding games happen.
A few more bad rebounding games will happen in the next few games
That's a given. I knew before the season started we'd be one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. I don't know if we have one player on the roster I'd call a strong rebounder.

Personally, I would have preferred to have Ed Davis at backup Center... _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Someone tell me what Madsen or that other dude Moser are doing? I mean its basic eye test/footage to see he doesn't work plus all the "analytics". What is the FO doing there just watching this crap play out in every game so far.
PG: Ronnie Price (instead of Jeremy Lin)
SG: 37 yo Kobe Bryant (instead of 23 yo Anthony Brown)
SF: Luke Walton (instead of Omni Caspi)
PF: Waiver wire Carlos Boozer (instead of FA Ed Davis)
C: Brandon Bass (instead of Tarik Black)
