Takes place in Hell's Kitchen (same as DD), deals more with JJ's personal issues after being brainwashed/sexually assaulted by Kilgrave (Purple Man) when she was a superhero. What's interesting about her storyline is her link to the Avengers, Peter Parker, and Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) who are all major players in MCU.

I've just watched 5 episodes. Good show.
I liked Daredevil more, but JJ is still very well done and interesting. More psychological thriller than action. |

Anyone who watched Doctor Who will probably like this show as much as DD. |

I think it's the action that puts daredevil over the top. |

Loved the show. I liked Daredevil more, but that's because the fight scenes were better. Lots of little foreshadowing for future Marvel tv shows and seasons. |

Yeah Daredevil was better. Still this one was a solid show, more psychological thriller than action drama like its predecessor. |

Another great villain in Kilgrave. His callousness and casual destruction of people's lives, not due to any grand plan or scheme, but just due to sheer selfishness, whim, and absolute lack of empathy for anyone around him makes him scarier in a way than a crime lord like Wilson Fisk or even world wide/galactic threats like Ultron or Loki. |

I like how Killgrave is pretty much like a spoiled petulant child with way too much power.
I also like how his power isn't something that he's able to control. So when he asks someone to do something, he really doesn't have any idea if it's something that they would genuinely want to do or not. That would mess up someone's head. |

So is it safe to discuss the show in detail? I'll put my text in white just in case.
The last encounter felt so damn anticlimactic. I was ready for a huge battle between JJ and Kilgrave. It makes sense that there wasn't one though. Kilgrave probably doesn't know how to fight, hasn't lifted a finger in all his years, and on top of that he wouldn't look good against a chick with superhuman strenght. I guess I set myself up for disappointment but still something didn't feel right with that ending. Oh well still a solid show, can't wait for Luke Cage. |

Crazy plot and themes. Could do without the excessive blood and sex scenes that don't move the plot along. I understand that's what lots of people want to see for some reason.
Solid show. Without the extra to appeal to the lowest common denominator I'd put it equal par with daredevil and AOS. |
