Kobe has always been delusional. Its part of what made him so good but now he just sounds like someone's senile grandpa

Not sure Kobe really means that he could actually be averaging 35 a night if he wanted to.. Don't even think he's that deluded.

I think he means that even if he was capable of still doing that the team would still suck.

If he's averaging 35 points, he'd be shooting 25% and the Lakers would be 0-14.

It's a terrible disservice to Kobe too. Scott just let Kobe absolutely embarrass himself on national tv. According to the announcers, Kobe tied the record for worst shooting performance with at least 14 shots.

I hope that's what he truly means. Because if he meant that he could literally do it at this point, someone needs to give the man some mental help.

Byron just lost his last race horse. There is absolutely no reason for him to remain our coach now.

What is even the point in conjecturing that? I thought this season wasn't about him? I thought it was about developing the kids? These are self-centered comments to downplay the effect that his poor play has on the team. He's essentially saying.. "It makes no difference how I play, they suck." When in fact, it would make a difference. A prime Kobe can keep this team at least at .500 right now.

Do you know whose record he tied???? Answer below.......

Kevin Draper ‏@kevinmdraper 2h2 hours ago
Heh, the last person to make one or fewer field goals while attempting 14 or more was … Kobe Bryant.

It's more likely IMO those comments were directed at his teammates.

Any player that plays that poorly in a game and then goes off in the media about his teammates deserves to be benched indefinitely. Won't happen because it's Kobe but this is embarrassing.

Well the second tweet does sound like a shot to Byron. It didn't look like we knew what to do offensively and that was even without the possessions that Kobe touched the ball. But Kobe isn't helping the situation by trying to be the first option so many times. In no way should he be having consistently more shots than DLO, Randle and Clarkson.

Kobe is probably the only one who can go and talk to Mitch and Jim about these matters in hope that they would listen. They would listen to Kobe.
Someone needs to man up and show Scott the way out of the door before he completely ruins this team.

I don't feel like it is. Seems like a direct shot at Byron.

Hmmm... Yeah. The full quote definitely sounds more directed at coaching and the entirety of the situation, not his teammates.

They've changed the offense to incorporate the triangle. Is he angry at Byron for that?

I don't understand why he'd take a shot at Byron. It seemed to me that Byron was hired to be Kobe's yes man and he has been falling on the sword for him whenever the situation has called for it. If Kobe wanted certain plays run, I can't see Byron getting in the way of that.

All I can figure is that the situation is looking dire so this is some manufactured mutiny so they can start over fresh and the previous results can be flushed down the toilet? Other than that it makes no sense.

Before Scott ruin this team?

How can Scott be solely responsible for ruining this team.

Scott may be part of the problem but he is not the only person.

So sad to witness Kobe go out like this.

While Duncan and Norwitzki go out with some dignity, Kobe looks washed up.

The FO provided Kobe with a lousy coach and poor support.

A good coach with great support means Kobe glued to the bench.

The also didn't take 20 million , they also aren't missing 18 shots a game , they also aren't chucking up 10 3s game even though there shooting 20%.

Byron get plenty blame for his poor coaching and roster managing .. Players are confused about there roles , no sense of identity when it comes to offensive and defensive schemes. No go to plays or go to guys cause nobody knows there role except Lou and Kobe which is green light .

But Kobe has played a big role in this he shooting us out of plenty games thanks to the green light him and Lou got .

Surely it's time for Kobe to take reduce minutes or sit out a couple of games? His form at the moment is at an all time low.
