I hate seeing the Lakers lose but everyone knew this season was going to bring a lot of defeats. If the Lakers are going to lose I prefer to see the young players e.g. Russell, Randle and Clarkson getting a lot of minutes and playing well which they did tonight.
I thought the poor start cost the Lakers as they were always playing catch-up through out the game. Defensively they still need to get better. |

I was happy that the young guys played well, especially D-Lo but defensively they were pretty bad. Blazer guards torched them for 66 points. The entire team needs to improve in that area. |

| Just want to say I'm really impressed by McCollum. Out of his entire draft class, Gobert probably is the only player I'd take over him. Nice pick by the Blazers. |

Hibbert is not a problem on defense. Hes our best defender. The problem is he never plays in the 4th |
He is a problem. Any time Portland wanted a basket, they put Hibbert in a pnr. He sags back, giving their guards wide open jumpers. He knows he's too slow to show high cause the guards then will simply go around him.
Dlo and Clarkson did the right things for the most part. Forced them to weak hand, went over the screen, but Hibbert doesn't meet the shooter to contest.
That's why Hibbert didn't play in the 4th of the last Portland game. |
