Season Series: 0 - 1
Heartbreaking Loss... We were up by 16 at one point but the Wolves made a run to erase the lead. Ricky Rubio had a career-high 28 points and 14 assists while Kevin Martin got 23 points off the bench to beat us 112 - 111 with Lou Williams missing the potential game winner.
The rematch between the #1 pick and #2 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft... Karl-Anthony Towns had a solid debut with a double-double, he had 14 points and 12 rebounds while D'Angelo Russell had only 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Towns has recently won the Western Conference Rookie of the Month award for November while D'Angelo Russell has been slowly improving his game.
Kobe's final stop at the Target Center... It would be his final game at the Target Center and the second duel out of three between Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett. Their fans will not forget how Kobe destroyed KG21 and the Timberwolves back in both of their primes and they will get the chance to boo Kobe for one last time and say goodbye.
Lets beat the pups and get this win baby! _________________ I was an atheist, until I knew Kobe.

Quick, someone make a new game thread to deny this guy the joy he feels from starting a game thread. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Limit the Fouls: In the season-opener versus the Timberwolves, the Lakers sent them to the line 37 times. Minnesota was able to capitalize by hitting 31 of them to finish the game at 83 percent from the line. The Lakers ultimately ended up losing by just one point, so saving a couple of trips to the line can really make the difference in case things go down to the wire again.
Stay Active on the Boards: The Lakers actually did a terrific job of rebounding the last time these two teams met. Los Angeles out-rebounded the Timberwolves 51-39, which was really what kept them in the game despite their poor shooting percentage. 15 of those were offensive rebounds, so if they can capitalize more on second-chance points, the Lakers can find themselves in control early on.
