Jumaine's bag
Jumaine Jones is a unique fellow who while a Laker enjoyed lounging on the locker-room floor with a hot dog or two before a game or sometimes would stride purposefully around that same area in search of an electrical outlet for his laptop computer. He did it his way, which means a little different way, again Friday night in Charlotte, when he surprised the Lakers for a career-high 31 points ... and then showed up in the visitors' locker room with a bag in hand.

What was in there? Some gear or game film he wanted to bring home? Gifts for his old Lakers pals? A couple hundred thousand headbands? A few hot dogs and his laptop?

Actually, a souvenir Lakers ball and a Kobe Bryant jersey, with which he approached Bryant to have him sign. Bryant had also saved his game sneakers, signed those, and gave them to Jones to add to his haul. It was a rather weird way for the night to end -- the winning team's leading scorer asking the losing team's leading scorer to sign autographs. But Bryant was perfectly happy to accommodate, and Jones -- again -- is a little different.

It's funny how the Lakers got rid of the only 2 guys on the team (JJ and Caron) that seemed to know how to play with Kobe. You can buy a lot of things, but you can't buy on-court chemistry.

Two trades I was not thrilled with and well...I just hope this team can recover because if not...seriously, is it possible to get Jerry West back?

This is the one trade that Mitche f [ at ] cked up on, how are ya gonna give up JJ for a weak ass pick! He was one of my favorite players along with caron, hopefully we'll get them back through free agency.

Which one was Kupchak's good trade? Has there ever been one? Has there ever been a good Kupchak move?

Thank you, Zhengi. I tend to forget that most of these fans haven't been watching for longer than a few months.
