Crazy. It seems like Kareem, Jordan, Malone etc would have done this. I could have sworn they all had big games when they were old. |

That was vintage Kobe against Timberwolves, brilliant to see. Classic black mamba.

Jordan dropped 43 at age 40.

I still think we are going to see a 40+ game from Bean this year. |

That's crazy. He did that without any 3's, going 18/30 from the field and 10 boards. His knees must have been killing him. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

Fun fact: Kobe also dropped 40 that same night. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

So nice to see Kobe have these moments. Not surprising our wins are still coming when Kobe plays like a vintage version of himself. Love this guy. He was pissed that the team was about break the record for 10 straight and all the talk, and he took on him to get them out of it.
These 2 games make you think "What if" ... What if Kobe had a decent/solid playoff team around him this year, would he be able to do this and help? Who knows ? |

He's had a better year that Tim Duncan IMO.
He just doesn't have the support of two all star level players (Kawhi, Aldridge) on his roster, like Duncan has. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Meh, offensively it's a push. Duncan is really bad offensively but has a small roll, whereas Kobe has had games where he's been brilliant and games where he's definitely shot us out of the game. I think it averages out. Maybe you give the edge to Kobe, but not by much.
Defensively, they're on different sides of the ball park. Duncan is still elite defensively, the top defender by some metrics, and Kobe is still one of the worst defenders by most metrics.
Maybe on a better team, Kobe's a better offensive player, but that gap in defense is a huge bridge to cross IMO. |

I'm hoping Kobe gets another vintage 30 point performance against the Spurs and brings home the W ((bleep) the tank)
How sweet would it be for Kobe to get one more Player of the Week? Not sure it's feasible with Curry, KD, and Westbrook all having great weeks, but a man can dream |
