Which of these star wing guys do you think is best? I still think Durant and LeBron are the best right now as far as forwards/wings but after them it's kind of a toss up

I remember making a similar thread to this.
The USA basketball team has to deal with this question every 4 years.
I don't know who's the best overall. They are all defense-first, elite wings.

In terms of 1 on 1 scoring:
Butler>George>Leonard

In terms of 1 on 1 defense:
Leonard>George>Butler (due mostly to their varying length/wingspan)

Geez, my top two are Leonard and George and it's close. But Butler can be the choice too. I voted Leonard just because he's the best perimeter defender I've ever seen, and he's a legit 1st option on offense now. George is the most skilled offensively, love his game.

Leonard is so good on D that he makes LeBron look average. And his offense ain't too bad either. Gotta go with him.

Gotta go with Leonard.
Out of the choices he's the best defender, the most efficient and the most unselfish. No ego to worry about either.

yikes... so hard.

I like Jimmy Butler and PG24... but Jimmy Butler reminds me of young Kobe... Leonard though is a defensive beast... tough... you can't lose with anyone on that list.

Jesus, that's a tough one. I'd probably go Butler, Kawhi, & PG, and could easily talk myself into the exact opposite order.

Leonard has no weakness and seems like a great guy to coach and play with

I would argue he might be the best all around player in the league

Kahwai all day. One is proven over all the other, Finals MVP. Done.

Paul George.

I always value a guy who carries his team more than a slightly lesser player allbeit a better defender.

Jimmy Butler is very good, and 2nd. Just a little less of a #1 guy than George.

KL is 3rd in my book.

All 3 fantastic players, but with KL you need the #1 guy. With Paul George you already have him (when he's healthy). With Butler, you have a guy that sometimes shows he can be that #1, but he's not shown it enough to be called a guy you can see win a ring as the #1.

Paul George has lifted an Indiana team whose 2nd best player was Lance Stephenson, who outside of Indiana hasn't even shown he is worth starting in the NBA, to the ECF and contender status. There's no way Leonard does that for a team.

Leonard is arguably the best support player in the league right now - but he's not been proven as the man. Very different when the opposing team schemes it's entire defense around stopping you.

I think you're really underselling Kahwai. And he's carrying the team this year. It's a matter (as you described it aptly) of Kahwai blending in with the vets (TD, Parker, Manu).

This year I agree. But he's also got LMA who draws a ton of attention. TD. Parker. Shooters at 2. Or Ginobli. He gets so much more freedom and breathing room than Paul George.

George plays with Mahinimi, Ellis, Hill, Miles. Not exactly the same freedom.

Switch them and I don't think Indiana is where they are in the standings. George is a guy that has proven to be able to carry a team. He's top 5 in the league when healthy, IMO. Leonard is closer to top 20. IMO, again obviously.

But that's my point. It's unfair to criticize him for having too many good teammates.

I guess we have different criteria. I love George (and hope we pursue him in 2018...want him more than Westbrook). But it's way too speculative to say he'd put up similar numbers on a stacked Spurs team.

1) Kawhi
2) PG
3) Butler
That's the order for me but I love all 3. Would really love to see any of them in the purple and gold before they retire. I think Kawhi will be a Spur forever and Butler just signed a long contract so PG is probably the guy we have the best shot at.

The beauty of Kahwai is how he fits in a well oiled system. He's not about his own #s (maybe George isn't either, but he hasn't been "encumbered" with talent like Kahwai has on the Spurs).

Let's just say I'd take any of the 3 on my team. This is a great poll question.

Kwi, but George isn't too far behind. Things might be different if George wasn't stuck on the Pacers, I'd like to see him playing with some talent, but I can't get past Kwi's efficiency and defense, not to mention how he came up big in the finals.

Apart from Durant, George is the guy I hope we land in 2018. Maybe he can force a trade here in 2017.

I'm not convinced that Kawhi is a better defender than butler, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

You think Butler is a better defender than the reigning DPOY? C'mon man.

Kawhi gets that Popovich bump.

Has the best coach out of all 3 players, by far.
