Cousins was more impressive than Curry last night. I would choose him over Curry on a generic team.

Anyway, last night....

having a monster game, OT...56 points, amazing shots all over the place.
sac up 2, cousins gets called for a bogus offensive foul, fouls out!!
the refs pull about 3 more stupid calls favoring the hornets...
hornets keep getting chances to tie, chance chance after chance
finally, they hit a long 3 for the winner

if they didn't screw cousins, he would have hit 60 and won.
nba should be better than that.

Is Boogie worthy of touching Kobe's sandals?

I thought screwing cousins only happened in the South.

How is flailing your elbows off an offensive rebound not an offensive foul?

Curry and LeBron hate AGAIN?! I agree about Cousins but no need to hate on the two best players in the league while in the process.

Translation: I don't think Cousins is good enough to pose any kind of threat to Kobe's legacy.

there is no hate here. you need to relax and find threads with topics you are actually interested in. saying cousins 56 point game was more impressive than curry's...there is absolutely no hate there.

So you get to choose what I'm interested in now? No thanks.
I love cousins and have been saying the Lakers should push for him for months but to say he is better than curry and that Lebron can't hold kobes slippers or jock strap or whatever other analogy you want to make, it's hate. Jealous, incorrect, insecure hate. No player can change kobes legacy, he doesn't need you protecting it.

That's only been an offensive foul in recent years. Clearing your airspace with an elbow swing through has been done for decades by big men. Barkley would swing it several times in open space.

Actually, throwing a elbow or swinging both elbows is a violation and has been since 1975, though not enforced uniformly. Hell, nothing's enforced uniformly; team stars get the breaks, rooks and journeymen get the whistles.

I should have clarified that it's only recently really been called. The clearing out elbow has been a staple of big men for ages.

He didn't swing an elbow, he bumped the guy with his upper back and the defender flopped. Watch the overhead replay starting at 18 seconds. His right elbow was never raised after he grabbed the rebound. His left elbow never made contact with anyone.

What's funny is that the refs could've have called a half dozen fouls on the Hornets prior to that call. Kaminsky almost had an armlock on him.

I didn't see any fouls on that play at all. (Don't see anything like an arm lock). That said, I can understand why it looked like a foul from the ref's angle based on how Cousins swung his shoulders and how the opposing player snapped back. The defensive guy did a good job selling the foul -- part of the game. Unless you review every single foul call that stuff is going to happen.

Sure, but that's the nature of the NBA. They constantly tweak and change interpretations of the rules. Lots of things are fouls today that would have been perfectly fine in the 1980s. Players are allowed to make moves today would have been traveling and double-dribbling in other eras. It's up the players to adjust to how the rules are being interpreted.

He's amazing but he's a mental midget. Against the Hornets he got stripped, complained for the foul, didn't get it and then fouled Kemba when Sacramento was down 3 with a minute left to put Kemba in the line since Charlotte was in the penalty. He can't control himself, and that's scary.

He's a superstar no doubt, but over Curry? LOL. Also, Cousins hasn't won anything. Hasn't even been in the playoffs. To take him over Curry on a generic team is ludicrous.

Swing you elbows at head level and you will almost always get called for the foul. The league is very concussion conscience.

It looks like an old fashioned shoulder to the chest to me. Not sure what you are seeing.
