Pfft, forget it. Just avoid any Laker games until the lottery hits. (bleep) FO, sucks ass I wish Jerry Buss was still alive watching this crap he built so long to make into class franchise only for it to fail in just a couple of years under two moronic children of his. Who keeps this loser this long? Only Garbage franchises.

Only do the Lakers allow this cancer to spread instead of cutting off. Scott should have been fired over a month ago

Byron without his NJ assistants is like George Lucas in complete control over the prequels.

James Worthy = Hans Solo.
Dr. Buss = Yoda, except it seems the Buss children can't seem to communicate with him in his death.
Obi-Wan = Phil Jax

Byron reminds me of a psychologically abusive parent who disses and puts down their own child for getting a B just because they didn't get an A.

Hopefully the fact that Russell is only 19 becomes his saving grace. He may be young enough to not be permanently scarred from this if we have a batter coach next season.

Don't even care about Byron. The front office sees this. They are a bunch of Morons. There are so many smarter basketball people around the NBA, I don't think they can work out of this mess without some new minds in the mix.

LOL @ psychological abuse. The new generation of mentally weak athletes never cease to amaze me.

As Kobe slowly fades away, we see the true depth of what we are losing.

We can only hope it fuels D'Angelo to work harder. From what I read he's not a glass ego type like Kwame Brown.

I have never witnessed a coach who has so much disdain for young players, namely Of course Julius Randle but most especially D'Angelo Russell, in my entire history of watching the Lakers.

So much so that Byron has to go out of his way to find criticism in them when they play well, and the moment they have a bad game, pounces on them with a "see, I told you so" look of satisfaction.

D'Angelo Russell especially can not get a break from this man.

When Russell led the Lakers to a near comeback against the Clippers what did Byron say? It was Huertas who was the catalyst and who deserves the game ball.

When Russell averaged 19.5 points and shot 73% in a stretch, Byron says he was just "okay" but that the defensive end is what really matters.

When Russell tried to take over a game, Byron sat him down and let Huertas and Nick Young do the taking over, commenting he didn't think Russell shouldn't be doing that yet.

And tonight when Russell had a bad shooting night, Byron pounced sonfas with a post game he seemingly had been waiting to have for weeks calling Russell's game "very, very bad and way too lazy."

What kind of head coach does this to their 19 year old rookie? What kind of lesson are you teaching him by kicking your young rookie when he's down, or giving backhanded compliments when he plays really well? Would it kill Byron to say something nice and leave it at that instead of always trying to find fault?

That's not coaching. That's being detrimental to the growth of your future star. That's being a Cancer.

I want to encourage you to do a little background info hunt on the Jerry West/Norm Nixon relationship in Norm's rookie year. Very intense.

Every new generation has been accused of being mentally weaker than the previous ones. Part of good leadership means giving the young players props and credit for making incremental progress. That's not being soft, that's helping to build character. If you're always giving criticism and negative feedback you run the risk of breeding bad attitudes and a lack of confidence in your players.

I'm not holding my breath to keep the pick but 50% chance is higher than us landing a potential franchise player some other way.

At this point the season is too far gone to make any changes. They need to keep the pick. Our rookies just gotta suck it up and use it as a learning moment and hope they get a new coach next year.

Too bad that's the plan the front office is taking now.

yup. it's really frustrating how many of the new guys want to be cuddled like babies or else they pout and complain to the media... used to be my main pet peeve with Boogie, but at least Boogie has transcendental talent.

The only reason DLO doesn't get the Tarik treatment is be cause it would solidify the firing of Byron Scott. There is no way you can pick a #2 pick and not let him play at all. That's a new level of stupid, even Byron is not there yet...if he had it his way he would though LOL

Who are would you replace him with mid season? Thibs? Luke, Hammond, Ollie, etc aren't available yet. Scott intentionally crapped up his assistants so we cannot just interim coach one of them.

Next time Mitch does an online Q&A, someone read him Jordan-esque's original post. I would love to hear his answer. Byron is BY FAR the most hated Laker, and he brought it all upon himself! His tenure are head coach can be summed up in one word, DISGUSTING.
