Right. Seeing as how there isn't much to be excited about as a Laker fan these days, I'm curious when do you think we"ll be great again?
I want us to win so much that we get tired of winning! When do you think that can happen?
We've been awful for the last 3 years, pretty much since Kobe went down with the achilies rupture. We lost our franchise player to that devastating career ending injury.
That was unofficially the end of Kobe. This season however is officially the end of Kobe.
We can start moving forward. What do you think, how long will it take?
With this FO it shouldn't even happen. But we are the Lakers, the lure of the brand name, the city of LA is pretty huge. In the next 3 years I hope. I want the playoffs next year at least! |

We need to hire Donald Trump to run the FO, he will make us great again and we will eventually get tired of winning. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Donald Trump is the answer. He was great on Celebrity Apprentice. I am sure he would do a great job as President of the Lakers. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

When you have a head coach who thinks these 2 regular seasons are basically the preseason ("oh, we will just mess with this random rotation for 20 games..."), yeah... _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

gotta fix the ownership. Jeannie and Jim can't coexist with both have decision making power. the animosity between the two is too big to heal (because of phil jackson imo). either Jeannie goes back to her business role and let jim does his own without any "parking brakes" or get rid of jim, hire jerry west or pat riley back. this unsolvable sibling in-fighting is hurting our team and its future. |

What will it take?
In my opinion, no one knows. It will probably be a little luck and other factors.
Seriously, what if Stephen A is right and Westbrook and Durant joins the Lakers.
You never know. |

Well I think Durant makes us a playoff team but I don't think hes stupid enough to come here. Derozan and Whiteside could possibly make us a playoff team depending on how the team gels. It could be next season or it could be years. |

Change the CBA back to give freedom to players to pick and choose what they want without restriction. They only streamlined salaries for the players and not the owners. De-regulate!

If we hired Donald, you know he'd hire all the best people and get rid of all the bad ones. He even knows people that are the best at what they do that are even better than the ones you haven't. He also the best at negotiating, and he'd hire the best to help him with it. Opposing GM's better watch out. He'd also build a fence around Staples to keep out other fans, and then make all the opposing team's fans pay for it too. You just know he'd win the NBA!
How he'd do all things? No one knows, but he said he'd do it so it'll definitely work out! |

We should also build a wall around Staples so Clippers can't get in anymore!!!!
(Hey, that actually is a good idea ) |

And Ballmer will pay for it.
Next he will probably ban any Celtics fans from attending the annual Lakers-Celtics game, the red coats will escort them en masse out of the building and leave them at LA Live (aka Microsoft Square). |

There isn't any way to predict.
The young guys are all a question mark. They'll have to show more next year before they become any kind of a draw for other players.
The free agent class this year isn't great. If we spend money on guys like Whiteside and DeRozen, it will be a gamble that may or may not work out. Either way, I don't see us landing a for-sure blue chip player in the offseason.
Right now, I am just looking for incremental improvement. I can't even think in terms of being great. |

Unless we get a major superstar free agent signing(s), we are probably in for a very long rebuilding process. |
