Quote:
Five days before a documentary alleged that quarterback Peyton Manning and other star athletes had used performance-enhancing drugs, two men hired by Manning’s lawyers visited the parents of the documentary’s key witness. Both men wore black overcoats and jeans and, according to a 911 call from the house that evening, one initially said he was a law enforcement officer but didn’t have a badge.

After they told their daughter to call 911 the night of Dec. 22, Randall and Judith Sly stepped outside to talk to the strangers, who clarified they were private investigators, not cops. They had come to this red brick house with a well-manicured lawn looking for the Slys’ 31-year-old son, Charlie, a pharmacist who was the primary source in the upcoming documentary.

So Manning caught wind of the report prior to publication and hired a pair of thugs, one of whom reportedly misidentified himself as a police office, in order to influence the opposing party to stand down?

I think it's pretty obvious to most everyone asides from Manning fans that Peyton was on the good stuff during and most likely after his rehab from those devastating neck surgeries. And I don't think many people really fault him for it. Let's see what the NFL investigation will show.

So the NFL makes up deflate-gate and it's all over ESPN, but this isn't touching the airwaves. A few weeks ago Nantz was having none of it during a telecast, I read somewhere he shares an agent with Manning too.

Apparently Manning has Ari Fleischer (yeah, that Ari Fleischer) working for him too. Another right wing, conservative, lying sack of (bleep).

It was an interesting choice for head official of the super bowl...let's just say it was Denver friendly:

The NFL chose eighth year official Clete Blakeman as the head referee for Super Bowl 50. Blakeman will lead a seven-man crew of highly-graded officials.

Since 2010, when Blakeman became a referee, the Broncos have a 5-0 record in games where he was the head man. The Panthers have been 2-2 during the same span.

Nah, it had nothing to do with Denver's dominating defense or miscues from the Panthers, like Cam not diving on the ball, poor pocket awareness. It was the refs.

It had to do with me taking Denver and the 5 points.
