^ Every team misses role players when they are out. Take Bowen out of San Antonio and watch them fail miserably.

We need Mihm. He's better then most, not as great as some. Mihm is a B grade center, but Kwame is a C grade center.

i hope we can survive this skid, and still be in the playoff hunt. Hopefully we can get healthy by the all-star break. By the way Ronny playing will be great seeing.

Jackson indicated it might be a while for Turiaf, who has not been scrimmaging with the first or second teams at practice.

Kwame is primarily a power forward, not a center.

Role players?

You're talking about 25 points and nearly 17 boards per game leaving the starting front court. That's not role players -- that's critical pieces inside.

How is it that sooooooo many people have missed Mihm's development into a legit starting five? The "role player" jive died when he stopped fouling and starting stringing together double-digit games.

I'd say you started watching basketball late. How many teams have centers that you can throw the ball into and expect points or free throws?

Not many. Mihm has proven this season that he's one of those players, and this is only his first year under Jackson. Mihm is a solid second-tier center now, B at the very least. Wait until he adds a few counters to his jump hook and the drop step that he's aching for. He's already added a left hand since last year.

He's another block away (he's at 1.3) and two boards away (he's at about seven) from being all-star level.

Just cuz they are in our team who sucks. But they are role players in any other good team like SA, Mia, Dal or Det

If I am correct. Kobe sought Mihm out personally. That was the only guy where kobe came out publically to KUP and wanted him to sign. Mihm has grown leaps and bounds. Not so much by #'s but by consistency. I feel confident now that when he gets the ball inside that he will make the right decision. He plays with passion, he knows when he effs up. Mihm is a legit starting center. I will admit the league isnt flooded with centers, but a rotation of bynum and Mihm will be a serious factor when we eventually start to compete for rings. Mihm can even spot 4 ocassionally. Mihm is a problem. In fact he is an asset. If Kup has any thoughts of trading him we had better get back serious talent. IMO bynum and Mihm hold the most trade value on the club. theres a reason

yep. he's no doubt better than half the starting centers in the league right now.
