I'll be surprised if Magic is still with the Lakers 10 years from now
I think he will divert his attention to other business interests in a few years
I don't think he is a lifer with this role
It would shock me if Luke got fired at seasons end or anytime soon.
Think when they hired Luke they had intentions for him to grow and evolve and be their head coach a long time. Let's see if it works out but wouldn't surprise me at all if Luke is a Laker coach for a long tenure. |
It might depend on if he gets some ownership? Who knows what the state of the ownership will be like in 10 years.
That being said, Magic didn't hire Luke, so I can understand if some wouldn't think Luke would stick around.
But I'm on the side that thinks Luke is doing well enough. And think he'll improve. |

Magic may not be with the Lakers in 10 years. I have no clue. However, he'll outlast Luke either way. If Luke is successful, Magic stays and gets credit. If Luke isn't successful, Luke gets fired and Magic picks his own head coach. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Lukes doing fine...we have a very young group, some roster imbalance, and of course he is also new to head coaching...but he hasn't lost the team, they all seem to be together, they are competitive on most nights etc.....we just need some time for our players to mature and/or land actual team leading FA all stars. |

Going to the well time & time again with the JR/JC PNR vs D12 was one of Luke's (and the players) best move all season. It's simple, but if they can't defend it, keep going until something changes. I also give Luke credit for going with JC down the stretch. Team morale and confidence is also an import part of team growth. |

Luke told Magic he didn't think we needed a shooting coach before the season
Luckily Magic says it's not his decision next season.
Does one of Luke UofA buddies have the shooting coach responsibilities currently? Who was working with Ingram on adjusting his mechanics in the off-season? |

Defense was on your side of the court, gotta tell them to foul. Lol
Also, you crossmatched Ingram on Ntilkina and Ball on Mcderm for no good reason - Ball was getting abused on Mcderm cuts, and Ntilinkina isn't an aggressor to the point where you need Ingram on him. |

That's on the staff to let him know. Actually, I think Vitti used to keep track of fouls and that responsibility passes down to Nunes who is consistently just gazing up into the rafters. |

Also don't know if people caught the minutes for the PF/C rotation tonight before overtime and it was really really close to exactly 96/4 _________________ Austin Reaves

This is why, at the very least, Luke needs competent assistants. Not yes-men like Mermuys or Keefe who apparently have their heads as far up into the clouds as Luke does. |

Can someone explain something to me? How come if our big is getting killed by their big, Luke will wait till the last 5 minutes of a game to match Randle up with them? He's not gonna stop and Embiid or Porzingis, but maybe just slow them down. |

True or false? |
