No way he gonna survive. He's better off with young players and molding them into GSW type play. This whole roster is completely different now. |

I hope not !! I actually like Luke and the way he coaches.
Yeah he makes mistakes, but he's a young coach and its a learning curve.
No everyone is Phil or Pop or Riley etc. |

I've ardently defended Luke since we hired him.
But I'm worried about his long term future here. He is going to be under a microscope now. And Laker fans were already complaining while we over-achieved this season.
If the worst roster in the league is an F, the worst playoff roster is a C, and the Warriors are an A+. There are coaches that can bump a roster up a letter grade. Indiana's coach last year comes to mind. What Brad Stevens did in Boston (with their injuries) comes to mind too. Popovich too.
But IMO the type of coach that can make the playoffs with a D+/C- roster (us if we didn't get Lebron James). May not be the same coach that can win a chip with a B/B+ roster.
Say we end up being an A- roster in 2019. Still not sure Luke could take us over the hump against GS.

I actually think Luke is very well situated to handle the roster. HOF father, the 80's Celtics, the Shaq/Kobe Lakers, the Steph/Klay Warriors. Walton has been in the presence of basketball greatness his entire life. He excelled managing Draymond and Randle. This is his wheelhouse.

Fire him.
He ran no offense. We did a high PnR out top each time, which failed because that is the play NBA defenses prepare for the most. Then we would isolate Ingram and Kuzma, burp up a bad shot, and give the other team free transition opportunities.
I actually watched a whole game live (against OKC) where our guards never called a single play on offense (I was close enough to see).
He hired his ASU buddies instead of competent assistants. We need a good coach for this team.
Puke Walton needs to be fired.
