Lonzo
Hart
Kuz
Bron
Williams
Hell of a lineup. If Luke doesn't play Williams again we need to can him. |

Unfortunately for us moving forward, Kobe is more clutch than the King. |
Its not about clutch. You dont run the same play for Lebron that you did for Kobe. That would be pretty dumb. |

i hate the small concept when you dont have players to play it.
in the west:
Spurs have LMA/Pau
Utah has Gobert/Favors
Denver has joker/millsap/plumlee
OKC has Adams/Noel
NOP has Davis/Mirtovic/Randle
phoenix has Ayton/Chandler
we need a back up big big time |

Stop playing KCP. Give all his SG minutes to BI. Rotate SF/PF minutes to LeBron and Kuz. Stop playing Kuz at C. Play Williams as our backup C. |

Luke got schooled by the Rondo and BI suspensions.
He realized the hard way that Josh needs to be starting. And Kuz is a (bleep) forward who has no business playing the 5.
Hopefully it finally clicks.

I'm trying to remember how long it took us to get the defense going last year. It's brutal. |

The lack of size on this team is unacceptable. |

Compare that to the beauty Pop drew up for Patty Mills... No not DD or LMA... nope... Patty fukcing Mills. That's what a real coach does.
Get him out. |
Is it possible that have 3 guys who are not only big time vets but have also been on your team for years helps? The other guy is a vet an an all star as well?
VS
an undrafted rookie, three 2nd year players, and a vet who wants/needs the ball. |
you're right on that, but look at what was drawn up. no 2nd option, nothing going to the bucket, no misdirection. |
It wasn drawn up, was it? It was just an iso. |
i think it was run as it was drawn up. just the iso from what i saw. |

Last year we also had better individual defenders - Nance (until the trade) and Randle to name two. I watched the Spurs network and Sean’s Elliott showed at least two plays where the Lakers defense was horrible. Both times it was Kuzma. You wonder if better personnel solves that problem. They better has a savior r coming next year in free agency because right now this team has real problems. |

you're right it's the same type of play that phil would run for Kobe, but you had nearly 7 seconds left, not 2 seconds left.
with 7 seconds left, you have to have another guy coming of a screen or setting a flare screen, back pick , something.
run some zipper action at least! |

Coaches get these Ts in order to get refs attention to call it fair. Backfired tonight and really for most Laker coaches in recent history. |

You guys don’t get it. Stop with the we don’t have defenders stuff. Spurs have Gay, Derozan, Pau and aldridge and still play D! all those guys were known for their bad D!!!
Defense has more to do with the coach and schemes than with the players. Walton has to be fired. Also kuzma is not a bench player and kcp is not a starter.
PG.Lonzo
SG.Kuz
SF.Ingram
PF.Lebron
C.Mcgee
on d ingram can guard SG and kuz sf. |

Thought he played Svi too much tonight. Should have brought Lonzo back in earlier in the 4th. |

Yeah there was a point where there was 10 or 9 minutes left in the fourth and I was hoping Zo would come in. There were a few possessions early in the 4th that simple turnovers could've been prevented if there was a point guard on the floor. |

100% agree was wondering myself why he wasn’t out there much sooner.
Man if we start 0-5 Luke might get canned. I really want it to work out with him, but the rotations are real head scratchers. At least Hart got the minutes tonight. KCP should not even be playing at this point, at least once we get our guys back from suspension. Play Lance, play BI at the 2 with Kuz at 3, play Lonzo and Rondo together. Not playing Julius early on last year was criminal. Kuz at the 5. The list goes on. _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. YUMMY! Yeah, but Svi was part of the group that kept them in. He moved the ball well and played good Defense. He was a +12. Can’t fault Walton for staying with what was working.
It’s too early to be jumping on anyone imo. The NBA sure gave us a tough schedule to start. I have to believe we will get much better. I’m more pleased by what Ive been watching. We have been a few possessions away from winning all 3 games with a new team; playing against teams that are well established. |

His seat has to be feeling a little uncomfortable. His coaching has been a hindrance to our success. |

So Do I. The only coach who has the cojones to play an undrafted 2 way contract player in the 3rd game of the season and almost pull it; and you people want it gone. Jesus. This forum each day is resembling more and more RealGM. |

There is no way there canning Luke this year. If anything, he will be given a chance this year. Trust me, Shaw is not the guy you want to be as interim HC.
Right now Luke has to immediately shore up:
1. defending the 3 (stop overhelping the post which is a constant problem with his teams).
2. better rotations for center (but a lot of that isn't his fault as he literally has JaVale and nothing else). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
