Let's trade him for Mike Brown |

Bye bye (bleep). Go running back to GsW |
He's weak at developing players too, unless you land some self-motivator like Kobe you can't even rely on this idiot to drill the basics into young players. |

We’ve won 6 out of the last 7. Y’all think we weren’t gonna lose another game all season or something? _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Luke is not a good coach. It's been that way for 3 seasons now. |

Thread was dead silent during the winning streak.
We need to figure out how to win without Rondo. Think about how many 30+ 1st quarters we've given up this year. Yet we were still above .500. Some of that is Rondo cutting into leads with the bench mob. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

He had us playing great defense last year, what changed? |

Lmao, Luke is not "the" issue. Sure everything isnt perfect, but the play of Lonzo Ball I feel can really hurt this team. When he gets in his head, and he is beating himself that is tough to watch.
People wanted Luke to play Lonzo 35 minutes every night and dogged him for basically playing Rondo at all it seems? Noe game one, Lonzo is horrible and don't have the benefit of Rondo.
Not saying it, he will not get better but that was bad. |

They were playing with some good energy and defense the last 4. Not sure what happened tonight. But, the whole team except BI, Lebron, and McGee played bad. |

Huh? This young team has consistency gotten better since Luke took over. It's not like every monkey wrench wasn't thrown into the cog this summer. To be where their at considering the landscape of the NBA is not disappointing to me. |

It was silent from people praising Luke too, doesn't take away from him not being a good coach. He's not a good coach at all. Doesn't know X's and O's, didn't hire assistance that do. There is no offensive scheme, no defensive scheme, not good with rotations. Tries to force small ball.... He really doesn't know what he is doing out there. |

U watched the game? Luke gave up on this after half 3rd qtr.
There was no adjustment in game either |

Luke has not gotten better as a coach and that is the problem. Hasn't even gotten assistance to mask his flaws. |

Why didn't we play Svi ?
Why'd he go with a 9 man lineup until the game was over? |

Luke consistently does not know what he is doing. The same way svi hitting 2 3's in a row and the team went away from him. He should've told the team to feed him. |

DJ Augestine was putting on a layup clinic for 4-6 straight positions and not 1 time out or sub.
Orlando called a timeout to stop the abuse.
WTF is Luke thinking ?!?!? |

Luke is a Phil Jackson disciple.
Phil used to let Mike and Pip (or Kobe and Shaq/Pau) get blown out to prove a point. Kerr is another disciple and did the same in GS's last game against HOU.
They are giving the players a reality check.
We're a different squad without Rondo. And Luke is letting that "set in" with the players. Everybody has to do a little more now to make up for the loss. And if they don't, we'll lose. It's that simple. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Luke is way too inexperienced. At least Brad Stevens did his time at Butler 12 yrs in all and 6-7 as head coach.
Luke was lucky to be on the Warrior staff and was hired by Jimbo
Anyways if I was a betting man I say we have a new head coach next yr |

Phil surrounded himself with a competent staff that did the things he couldn't do and knew the things he didn't.
Luke does not. That is a major difference. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Exactly.. I am not nearly as crazy about firing Luke as others.... yet but that's far and away my biggest problem with him is that his staff seems pretty pathetic for a new head coach in a huge market and prestige franchise like the Lakers.. They should be able to get some people that can mentor him through the tough times and help with his deficiencies, especially once we got Lebron this season.. I still think he can be a solid head coach but not if he doesn't get a better supporting cast around him. |

Way too much credit to Luke. We have 6/7 because of LeBron ball and some close games. We almost lost to Dallas Mavs and to ATL at home |

Team needs shooters but we knew that. Luke’s not
the problem IMO.
We may need to get Sevi and Moe ( @ PF) some
minutes to see if they can bring some scoring punch
and D. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

All of you guys have been MIA (Missing In Action) during our winning streak. This thread was almost dead the last week.
I agree. Luke doesn't have a Tex Winter. But he didn't during our winning streak either.
This is my explanation. Players were figuring out how to play with 5-6 new rotation players before Rondo got injured. And now we're adjusting to life without Rondo. It's really that simple.
Sure we could run sets with more actions (off ball screens. corner spot ups). But I'm not convinced that is the a bigger issue than Rondo's absence. If you don't believe me, check out HOU's last 2 games against DEN and GS.
Some wins. Luke messes up. And some losses. Luke does well.
It's tough for me to give comments merit if they are so reactionary and 1 dimensional. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |
