The timeout thing is a habit he learned from Phil Jackson, no? Let the team work through its problems on its own?

Yup, it is some Zen Master knowledge.
Steve Kerr also doesn't take a lot of timeouts

D'Antoni does not as well, but they also teach principles, scheme's, etc for them to be able to do such. Luke does not. They let them work through it, they mess up, they are teaching in film sessions and practice. They also make adjustments if necessary. Luke does not. Also, they have/had vets, for the most part Luke does not.

Exactly why Mark Jackson got fired too.

That’s the only reason I can think of too. If that’s indeed true then Luke and his frat boy coaching staff should not be allowed to be on the plane back to LA.

my problem is that Mitch/Jim & later Magic/Rob should have stepped in and got experience coaches to lit a fire in his behind

Luke is part of the young core. We have to live with his mistakes until he matures as a couch.

A good excuse is that our forwards play no defense

I will say though. Once you find the right couch. It makes a world of difference.

Or we don't really have any go to scorer especially in the backcourt besides James.

Luke might as well take a hike when Rondo is doing the real coaching now.

Luke may have a little more Alpha in him than we think.

https://twitter.com/Rachel__Nichols/status/1064342078166130688

Asked Luke Walton about Rondo being with the coaches tonight. He said Rajon talked too much, had to tell him if he wanted to stay in the huddles, he had to be quiet 😂
Rondo: “yeah he told me to shut the *** up”

Yes of course but not to Orlando -- If we lose to the Cavs bye bye Luke

The Magic beat The Sixers, The Spurs and the Celtics. What’s the problem here? They are a team above .500, they won 7 out of their last 10. Stop making it seem like they are a bad team. They were just as hot as us. It’s ok to be upset that we lost but stop making up fake narratives to justify your hate for Luke.

I never agreed with you on Randle’s game but you’re spot on with Luke. People are asking for the world of him. We can’t lose any games without his haters coming out in droves. No defense from any of the forwards, our starting PG can’t score and won’t go to the basket because he’s stiff as hell and he’s trying to avoid the FT line, but its Luke’s fault.

Lebron plays bad and we don’t win the close games because of it and it’s Luke’s fault. We win and it’s because we have Lebron.

Luke will never get credit for any success

Just because the Lakers win a few games does not mean Luke is a good coach.

There are those who would still rail that Luke is a horrible coach, even if the deities of each NBA team descended from basketball heaven, and proclaimed Luke as their chosen one. So.....

At this point, I just want Luke fired.

I don't care about how it looks. Or if its bad for morale. Or if you have to hire someone's dog to coach the team. I just want Luke gone.

He should still be fired after that game. Larry Drew with the worst team in the league outcoached him by 10 Miles. Game should not have been that close, and the offense again, garbage.

He is Mike McCarthy. Byron Scott, etc.
