I didn''t like the three guard lineup that doesn't know how to play quality defense. Clarkson, Ennis, Blue. |

JC's been too hot. You need to give him more minutes over KCP. 36 minutes for KCP while JC got 17. What is up with that? Is Luke still making decisions by labels? Just because JC is now officially the back-up point guard doesn't mean he can't play with Ball. |

Bad coaching again. He need to be evaluated soon. To many losses at home.
His rotations are awful. And he cant make the team playing defense at all.
Also If you have Ingram and Kuz playing great in the game give them them freaking ball. |

Other than Kuzma, I see no fire in eyes from anyone else at all. While installing team ball concept and running sets, it's also important to give them room and make them get involved.
Lopez is too slow and can't defend nor rebound. Now I know why Luke like to use Bogut. We may have to consider to give some minutes to Bryant or Zubac.
Ingram's offense is too predictable. He cut in almost every time and raised the ball high, whoever defended him and tried to draw contacts. |

Did he really have Clarkson, Ennis and Blue out there at the same time or did I imagine that? |

Mostly frustrated lineups that were working early in the season aren't even seeing court anymore. Missing Hart, need to call him back and stop playing Bogut or Blue. We don't need a lineup ever on the court of Bogut (no offense mediocre defense against today's fast paced league), Blue (no business in the league yet), Ennis (mediocre backup PG with no one specialty other than he's steadying). That lineup makes no sense offensively or defensively. |

I don't understand why Vander blue is playing. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Biggest problem with Luke is he has the substitution times auto implemented in his head, and will go with them regardless of what's happening in the game.
Brewer and Randle were playing well, instead of implementing them into the starting lineup for someone that was sucking(like KCP) he just brought back in the entire starting lineup, watched as Phoenix continued to build their lead and was content to not do anything about it.
Luke's the prime of example of "it will work eventually, it worked in Golden State" when he has no flipping idea WHY it worked in Golden State, and no freaking idea how to make it work for THIS group of talent. Know why? Cause everything in Golden State was laid out for him and all he had to do was motivate and change nothing.
Here he's asked to formulate something, SOMETHING HE'S NEVER DONE BEFORE EVER IN HIS CAREER!!! And didn't even bring in the assistants that could do a better job at it than him.
I am..done with Luke. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

We should never play freaking 11 guys especially with no back to backs for a week.
Especially when Ennis, Blue and JC sucked today.
And KCP tried to sabotage the game for a bit. |

Try to bite my tongue, but everything you said is not wrong and tbh Luke is running out of rope imo. |

Luke really, really needs to rein in the stupid ass turnovers we get every game. It's disgusting how many essentially completely unforced turnovers we inflict on ourselves. And the transition game has to be cleaned up. I get trying to run, but what the hell is up with the ridiculous decision making? We might be the worst transition team in the league given how many times we turn the ball over or end up with a horrible shot. |

We tank in the two seasons Luke has coached and he is a bad coach? Blame Jim, Mitch, Magic and Pelinka. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Yes we are, the FO loaded the roster with crap in hopes to have cap space next season. They did nothing to try to compete. This year doesn’t matter, all they care about is next year. Our roster is half bigs with no 3 point shooters. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Think he's also building his coaching skills. Not fire worthy. Just needs to show adjustments. He's shown some, need to see more. |

I feel like I'm living in some alternate reality compared to others.
In my universe our defense is massively improved for the first time in a very long time, after Luke saying he's been focusing primarily on defense. Definitely have issues from time to time, but he's a young coach and our team is incredibly fun to watch, for me. The offense is underwhelming, but our shooting is terrible (worse than I expected) and Luke has admitted that most of his focus is on the defensive side of the ball so far.
Absolutely no coach has rotations that pass the eye test of most fans. I mean, I see mountains of Spurs fans who complain about Popovich's rotations.
Questionable decisions at times? Certainly! Please stop pretending you understand what he's doing and he's just clueless, though. It gets old.
Coaches try things, want certain things out of players, want to see how they do, what they do, etc.
Anybody up for trying to enjoy a young team with multiple exciting young players, some of which we're expected to keep, and all of which are developing at varying levels and paces game by game and year by year.?
Add the young coach figuring things out whilst having an eye to next year on the fact that this team will be (one way or another) most likely completely different next year.
Luke isn't perfect and is figuring things out. Jump on for the ride or cry in a corner about how he didn't do exactly what you think he should have done. Your choice.

i think quite a few teams will be tanking for R.J. Barrett and Zion ,, but Barrett def looks legit and worthy of the top pick |

If Luke was "figuring things out" he'd have changed something in his approach and strategy some time in the last 2 seasons. But we see the same mistakes over and over and over again.
The excuse "he's just figuring it out" no longer holds weight.
He's not 'figuring it out' he's sticking with what doesn't work. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Brilliant post. There is no bright spot in losing or even moral victories, we need to win to entice players but we keep getting worse. |

I think we are playing better basketball than last year. We are in fact close in most of the games so far, win or loss. We need to design plays for certain players to utilise their talent, for different matchups and in clutch moments. We still don't do well in this apartment |
