Dude, isn't it self-explanatory? She's showing her support of Luke. It ain't all about Lavar.

But why show support now? So basically confirming that Luke is/was in the hot seat? Just trying to understand her psyche. Why post it?

Like 32 said, likely because of the recent rumors about Fizdale. When Lavar talks (bleep), it doesn't matter. But if ESPN is coming out with that bull, doesn't the FO have a responsibility to defend their man? If they don't say anything, doesn't that just add fuel to the fire? In any case, I don't think Luke is going anywhere with the way the team is competing right now (and all season, outside of an injury-filled stretch against a tough schedule).

Forgot about the ESPN thing. That's why I asked about LaVar cause that's what popped in my mind. Makes sense. I agree with you.

We all need constructive criticism and guidance to grow and improve. I wonder what mechanism of feedback Luke has. When you're neck deep in it sometimes you need a different perspective.

I guess Kerr and Jackson are mentors. But who knows how specific their feedback is. Steve is also a competitor and does things by consensus. I wonder if Bryant could be good in that role.

I think it's just fan's that think former players have this need to keep coming back. From the sounds of things with Kobe, it doesn't seem like he has one iota of interest in doing so for any extended period. Guy has a million things on his plate.

You can point to all Luke's flaws, and he has some (I think everybody was upset about Randle's ISO to finish regulation), but after being down 10 (80-70), I thought the games was over. This team does not give up, and our defense is still pretty good... Give credit to Luke for that !

Yes, it wouldn’t be surprising if we only see him at Staples for retirement ceremonies.

I doubt that Randle’s iso was the play that was drawn up, more likely a safety valve situation.

I really don't see the problem with Jeanie expressing her support for Luke. Coming from her carries weight. Frankly I'm glad she did it now to squash these rumors started by fatty Windhorst yesterday.

But that's the thing. There wouldn't have been any room for Windhorst's report of what he's heard from people around the league had the Lakers expressed clear, public support for Luke from the beginning. The perception around the league that his job might be on the line was just the result of their own choice to keep silent. That was the wrong way to handle it.

Do we really need to link to every site that sources back to the original ESPN article?

Luke said post game that the play was for randle to get to his left and lonzo set a flair screen for Kuzma to get open as an option. dsj went rogue on his defense and disrupted the play

Sounds like a decent play

Seriously. We had a 5-game win streak at the end of last year, but everyone was freaking out because it jeopardized their draft pick. This is the first one we all could enjoy since the 2012-13 season.

Three.

After the horror of the last few years, I am not complaining.

Hell, I was happy just to see them win summer league games, lol.

It is, teams often lose track of the inbounder
