You are correct. We don't need to guard anyone just score 130 a game |

Our offense is fine. The defense is nonexistent. |

our offense isn't really fine either tbh, we score enough but we gonna keep trading 2s for 3s all year? That's gonna make up the gap in all these close games over and over and over.
We could have won both games with (bleep) defense if we could make threes. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Who cares about the shooting?
We suck at defense. It's part lineup problem, part roster problem. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

Lonzo needs to start. He is our best defender period. |

I think it’s mostly roster problem I mean let’s face it we’re pretty much banking on the young guys to play at an allstar/near allstar caliber for the success of this season. That’s a lot to ask for young unproven players |

Mostly a roster problem imo. I don't like some of Luke's rotations, but he can't do much to cover the fact that we simply don't have (bleep) worth a damn at the 5 other than Javale. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Definite roster problem. Lineup changes may help but can't mask our porous defense at 4 and 5. Bron no longer plays D, Kuz can't play the 5 defensively, McGee is great but needs to not play more than 20 to 25 a game and leaves our defense a mess when. he's not out there. Would be nice to give Zu some run and see how that goes. |

Def try Zu out but I feel like maybe they're seeing stuff in practice the worry them. Still try it though.
Hopefully Wagner is the guy who can can in and be worthy of 20 mins a game... 20 mins of boundless energy and shooting. That would change the entire dynamic of our team.
Cannot believe that Magic and Rob thought going into this season with a. center rotation of McGee/Zubac/Wagner was enough. Randle is coming of the bench in NO and dominating. Lopez was there for the taking. Noel chose OKC over us but why?
I feel bad for Kuz. He's being asked to do something completely out of his wheelhouse and bang.
Let's hope Luke gets it right during suspensions and runs these line ups:
McGee | Zubac
Kuzma | Beasley
LeBron | Svi
Hart | KCP
Lonzo | Lance |

Half court offense is gonna be a struggle because of roster construction and LeBron not wanting to over exert himself in the regular season. It’ll come around when it matters. The problem is the defense once that comes around we’ll be able to utilize transition offense more which where they at best. Shooting is overvalued on here. |

This is what I don't get....he wanted out because he felt he wouldn't play a big enough role...understandable. But now he's willing to come off the bench for NO? He could have feasted starting at the 5 here and playing backup 4/5 minutes as well. |

The league should institute a Coach Swap rule where one week out of every month every team has to exchange coaches. The NBA could use it as a promotional tool, fans could get to see how their team's players would look under a different head coach, and it would be an informal networking and interview process for the coaches.
I need to send this gem of an idea to Adam Silver asap! _________________ Under New Management |

We are last in 3pt shooting.....Even when we have great stretches it just feels like we can never pull away...that is the lack of shooting from 3. |

We might have to throw Svi in there.
With the right lineup tho. Play him with Lonzo, LeBron, Kuzma, McGee maybe to try and hide potential weaknesses he may or not cause on the floor. |

That's without the offnsive cohesion. If that holds up, at our pace, it'd be amazing. |

Luke is back smoking before games again.
His rotations are god awful.
We can’t afford to experiment for so long |

I agree with this. Last season, we had these crazy experiments to start the season and were playing catch up the rest of the way. Don’t overthink it or get cute again.
It’s awfully tough in the west to act like you have time to figure out lineups. You need results and can’t afford to be playing catch up in December/January. |
