Randle should be getting 30-35 minutes for sure.

I thought part of the deal with playing Randle less minutes is that he can go balls out and play like a madman. Could he keep that energy up for 35 minutes a night?

It's a good question. We should find out.

Lol our #27 pick rookie is averaging 15ppg and 6.5rpg and we're already taking him for granted.

Iím not worry about the recent losses. Both Celtics and Wizards are very good playoff teams. Actually we battled hard all the game to narrow a deficit of 21 points to 3 points only in Q4. For Wizards, we have beaten them before and they were more serious and well prepared this time. For ourselves, we are still making adjustments after losing Nance Jr.

However, Iím A little bit concerned about coach Luke, although he has successfully installed his offense system with some defense to this team. But it seems he has problems in: 1) rotation: he is too conservative and overplayed our starters, especially rookies Ball and Kuzma. They took too heavy minutes at this stage of their career, same as Ingram in fact. 2) design plays for specific players: it seems he keep emphasizing his general offensive philosophy but havenít designed plays for his players. I think itís needed. A few good play may change a game, especially in clutch moments like closing game, stop a scoring slump etc. 3) adjustments: after12 games, teams know our offense and defense and players better. We need to evolve from here. It's an area coach Luke didn't do well so far

I don't think he can, even being in better shape. That said I think he probably could for 25 minutes a night, and longer on certain nights.

Even if he can't sustain it for 25 min, we'd probably be better off with Julius playing at 90% or whatever for those extra 7 min, than Bogut or Brewer at 100% for those extra 7 min.

Maybe. I don't mind a few minutes per game for Screwy Brewy just because he's still a pest on defense, but Bogut should only be used in case of emergency. He just doesn't look right.

I'd take 7 extra minutes of Julius at 75% over Bogut or Brewer at 100%. I'd also take more Clarkson over Brewer as well. I'd also take more Lopez over Bogut. There is no reason to play Bogut or Brewer.

PG: Ball (34) / Clarkson (14)
SG: KCP (20) / Clarkson (14) / Hart (14)
SF: Ingram (34) / KCP (14)
PF: Kuzma (32) / Randle (16)
C: Lopez (32) / Randle (16)

That's an 8 man rotation. Here's how we make it a 9 man rotation when Nance comes back:

PG: Ball (32) / Clarkson (16)
SG: KCP (26) / Clarkson (10) / Hart (12)
SF: Ingram (32) / Kuzma (10) / KCP (6)
PF: Kuzma (20) / Nance (20) / Randle (8)
C: Lopez (30) / Randle (18)

No bucks game thread yet. But Bucks played today in S.A. and have to fly back east. Hopefully Luke has the lakers ready.

How about:

Lopez (24), Randle (24)
Kuzma (30), Ingram (10), Brewer (8)
Ingram (24), KCP (12), Hart (12)
KCP (20), Clarkson (20), Hart (8)
Ball (30), Clarkson (10), Ennis (8)

Ingram: 34
KCP: 32
Clarkson: 30
Kuzma: 30
Ball: 30
Lopez: 24
Randle: 24
Hart: 20
Brewer: 8
Ennis: 8

I prefer to utilise our depth more, especially when there is no star at the team right now.

As soon as you give Brewer, Hart or Ennis any playing time, the opposition is going on a run.

Brewer should not play any minute. He enters the game and the opp team goes on a run.
He makes stupid fouls after stupid fouls.

Thursday was the worst I've ever seen him. He looked like a headless chicken bobbing around out there. Even Luke had enough and basically benched him of any meaningful time in the second half. I really think they should look at G-league options, maybe Travis Wear.

The bottom line is performance and how your team performs. You can point to all of a players deficiencies but the bottom line is are they making an impact? Because performance wise Ingram is making the biggest impact on the team in terms of net rating on guys who play 15+ minutes. Lopez #2, Randle #3. And in terms of offense, the only player on the roster with a higher offensive rating when on the court Randle is tops on the team amongst rotation players, followed by Lopez, Kuzma, and Ingram. He's also tops in BPM.

Of course performance is everything, but I'm hesitant to give value to net rating and many analytics. I've spoken with countless of coaches on how they don't reveal everything that is seen on film. Again, I watch film breaking down both the 1v1 and 5v5 elements.

Brandon and Randle slow down some other guys because they can be ball stoppers. Randle has been playing his butt off as far as hustle goes. A lot of Randle's efficiency at the same time is clean up work and someone finding him.

It comes down to what culture we're developing and identity. Randle and Ingram can lead in scoring and still not be playing the type of basketball we need to win. Prime Gilbert Arenas could be the most efficient guy based on analytics on our team and I'd be screaming to get rid of him. Have Randle and Ingram made an extra pass? Yes. But they still become tunnel vision.

Without the improvements I already said they need to make, they aren't in a longterm plan in my eyes. They are young so that's why I'm hoping they prove me wrong. But they need to improve those skill areas as well as their IQ.

The Spurs, Warriors, and kinda Boston are taking advantage of a league that doesn't share the ball. The question isn't who is doing well for this team, but who is doing well for a team that can compete. That's the impact I'm looking for when I study film.

*There are things I like about Ingram and Randle. I've just watched a lot of basketball from all the teams in NBA, college, high school. I can pick up bad habits very quickly and see how it translates to systems. I'm a skills trainer. I'm only being this vociferous because what I see is night and day. I just want these two players to improve.

By the way - watching Westbrook film this year.

He looks BAD. He always padded his stats. Dominated the ball too much.

But I'm looking through clips my friend (also a skills trainer) is showing me of the entire season so far and it's really bad. He's over dribbling even more now. He is turning the ball over in really ugly ways. You'd be shocked this guy was the MVP.

He had signs of this last year. Which is why people who didn't watch his film and just saw his stats were in awe. Thunder have many problems that are bigger than Rusty, but the dude right now looks bad. I hope he gets it together because the West is more interesting when he's at his best.

Bad first quarter for Luke in Milwaukee. How are you going to take out a line up that is hanging and let the bench fritter away a really nice effort by Zo? Management needs to start taking a sterner tact with him on his rotations.

Looks rotations are mind boggling. Takes out a rotation that's scoring but refuses to switch out a horrible rotation. Refuses to take out a struggling Jc. Is he trying to lose the game?

He's simply not a good coach.

Just absolutely tired of his dog (bleep) rotations. Why do you have Clarkson operating as the main ball handler when Lonzo is out? Clarkson is not a playmaker. Why does Brewer get minutes? Just call up Caruso instead of Clarkson wasting every single possession.

It's so funny how the complaints change from game to game. When Ennis plays, everyone calls him trash and says JC needs more minutes. When JC gets more minutes and ballhandling duties, then all of a sudden people are crying for Luke to bench him. Newsflash: We do not even have a league average guard rotation. What you see is what you get. There aren't any magic fixes for it, outside of the league rescinding the Dlo trade.

Clarkson lost us the game tonight.

Both of them are garbage tier so no more ex-Lakers for the next coach which is a real possibility with every game I see Luke lose due to his terrible rotations and feel for the game.

The point is that if both Clarkson and Ennis suck, we need to find which one sucks less on a given night. If Clarkson is stinking up the joint, Luke needs to adjust to Ennis more quickly to see what kind of production we can get out of him. You can't just leave JC in for extended burn when he's dying out there.
