I've been getting tired of all the media hype around them. I actually want them to break the Bulls record, and then to lose like the Mavs in the playoffs. The only team I would not root for against them would be CLE, since I don't like Lebron. To be honest, they're not even that dislikable as a team, or as individual players.
I love Mychal Thompson, and listen to his radio show with Trudell almost every day. I know his son plays for them and he gets psychotically emotionally invested in them, but I'm tired of rooting for them by proxy because of that. I'm a Lakers fan and could give two (bleep) about any other team.

I too am a Laker fan and as such I don't care how well GS does. Good for them if they win a title, but after tonight my NBA viewership will decline. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
I just like to watch good basketball. And I respect a team that plays good basketball. The Warriors are really fun to watch. if they win, good for them.

I'll get off my soap box now...
You should cut ESPN out of your life (except for when Larry Coon is involved). Problem solved.
GSW is a fun team to watch. They are fast paced and full of finishers and passers. None of their players are inherently unlikable.
Don't really care. The Lakers season is over, so pretty much whatever happens in the playoffs happens. I do find all the new Warrior fans pretty annoying though.
I can understand the fans who rode thru with them when they were going thru decades of lean years so they can appreciate a good team.

They share the best record ever in the history of the NBA and have a chance to beat it. And you're upset about the media "hype"?
What else would you think would happen?

Why? They are a great team that is lead by a core of fun, talented and decent guys. I do not get this contempt for them at all.

Again, I have to ask, "Why?"

Except for the fact that you made it very clear that you obviously DO give two (bleep) about other teams. You just went on a rant practically begging for the Warriors to fail (while expressing an exception for the Cavs), so clearly you do care what happens to other teams.

Dunno why. Like others have said, they're fun and exciting to watch, and Steph is Kobe's spiritual successor in that he's one of those guys who you just shut up and watch play, no matter what team you normally root for because he's just that good. And the biggest reason of all not to root for them to fail is that they are by far the least objectionable possible champion. Spurs should be a big no no for Laker fans since it would unquestionably eclipse our accomplishments in the modern era. Cavs winning would be awful because Lebron and Gilbert would get a ring. Clippers winning, ugh, speaks for itself. Thunder winning means zero shot at Durant or Westbrook since they're not leaving a championship team. Rockets hopefully don't really have a shot, but if they did win flopping Harden and pathetic Dwight would get a ring. The rest of the field wouldn't be too bad, but their chances are vanishingly small, unless major injuries happen to the top squads.
Warriors are the best team to win if the Lakers can't do it, for now.
me too, i hate the Warriors. curry seems like an arrogant prick in interviews, and dramond green, for the sake of god close your mouth for just once would ya. i was rooting for the cavs last finals btw.
Those who aren't Doyer fans wouldn't understand. It's a bay area/LA thing. I don't HATE the Warriors but, I'd rather them not win. If they do, oh well.
I'll definitely take them over Cleveland winning. They're a miserable city who has a miserable owner and don't deserve a championship. _________________ Thank you, Kobe. We love you.

Nope. Love to watch them ball and there's no hype when you're doing what they're doing and backing it up.
Winning three points contests in grand fashion.
Winning 73 games and possibly 75 if they didn't meltdown vs the Lakers and Minny.
Best player in the league averaging 30 while shooting 50% from the field while shooting most of his shots from 15 and out. Also leading the league in steals and FT %. Just exciting to watch and they're all good guys.
