Definitely love watching these guys play and don't mind them winning chips, especially over Lebron or Duncan.

It's also easier to root for them, knowing the logo was integral to their building process.

I'll take them over any team in the east!!

Lakers, then west coast CA, with GS > Clippers Then Portland, then start moving east. Celtics are the last team, if they were playing a team of Chinese buttholes, I would root for the buttholes!

But GS is the modern prototype. If these are the rules the league embraces, they are who we will have to strive for.

That being said, I think the league has kind of screwed the game up. You know, right now, if Jabbar came into this league, he would be simply a good player. No center is EVER going to dominate a championship squad again, unless he is an ACE 3-Pt shooter.

A bit weird for me.

Even though I'm a native Angelino and exclusively a Laker fan, I'm hoping GS wins the championship. They play the game the way it's supposed to be played. They play great defense, they play an up-tempo game, and they have a decent amount of humility. Plus they're a California team. I don't want Lebron to win any more titles.

I'm hoping they win.

ESPN maybe particularly hyping them, but all these old schoolers acting like steph wouldnt murk them bugs me.

Like yea, you'll full court press for 48 mins. Hah.

anyone by the clippers or spurs from the west.

anyone but the celtics (even though unlikely, they are in the playoffs) or cavs in the east.

that being said, GSW winning would be fine.

It bugs me, too. The W's set a lot of good screens both on the ball and off the ball. Screens get players space in any era. Also, under which rules would they be playing? Under the current rules, it would not be a layup line for Jordan. Players can sag and anticipate penetration. The ball movement and balance of the W's is perfect for the current era.

Jabbar would be incredible no matter the era.

First of all, agreed about Boston. I would probably cheer for a team of Nazis before I cheered for the Celtics.

As for the Jabbar in the modern era, it is all a matter of taste. I can flip it and say that the old rules prevented a talent like Steph from being anything but just pretty good.

I'm not sure I'd say it has screwed up the game though. I think they have merely highlighted some inherent limitations in the old ways....

Draymond Green is getting on my nerves. I wouldn't mind seeing Kawhi and the Spurs shut them down.

Rooting for the Cavs, I would love to see Lue get a ring his first year coaching.

In that order.

If the cavs could just lose in the eastern playoffs it'd be great.

Wait what?

Jabar's sky hook was great enough that he didn't need to catch it 5' from the basket. He'd be a great talent in this era as well.

And Jabar won his Laker 5 rings with Magic, Scott/Norm as his guards. That's an all time great in Magic, one of the best shooters of that time in Scott. The Laker teams at least were just as much Magic's as Kareem's. I don't know enough of the Kareem Bucks title team to comment on that one.

I dislike the other legit contenders more than the Warriors. So I would be fine if the Warriors won. Obviously I don't expect a team like the Raptors or Hawks to win it all even though I would like them to.

I just rather the Clippers, Spurs or Cavs don't win. I don't have have a big dislike for the Spurs but selfishly I want Duncan to retire with 5 since he was in the same era as Kobe. OKC I don't know I just have a hard time rooting for them. I like Durant and Westbrook and would be happy for them if they got a ring, but I don't know just can't bring myself to root for them unless they are playing someone I hate. Clippers just have annoying fans that didn't exist pre CP3. And (bleep) Dan Gilbert.

Now if the Lakers were actually relevant and Warriors were posing a threat to the Lakers that would be different. Then I would probably despise them for being showboats, cocky, and dirty. With no horse in the race I enjoy watching them dismantle these other playoff teams.

The way I see it is if GSW wins it apparently knocks Durant down in the MVP list and maybe we have a better chance of signing him. If the Thunder win, we never get him. I kind of want the Thunder to get knocked out quick and GSW to go all the way, the pressure will be on Durant to find a way to keep himself in the MVP discussion and perhaps Oklahoma has run its course.
