The Cleveland Browns of the NBA. Fire the coach every year. At some point, the blame has to fall elsewhere.

Alright, now the Lakers can get their fourth failed head coach.

Where's your humility? We fire our coaches every other year. That's not that much better.

In the Which current head coach gets fired first? poll I voted Karl. His relationship with the FO was very shaky. This is not a surprise.

No, they finally found a bad non-Phil connected head coach that ex-Lakers can't bash. Byron Scott forever.

C'mon Lakers. Stop sitting on your hands and fire the coach already!

The NFL has way more coach longevity than the NBA.

Why didn't they just fire him during the All-Star Break when they were planning to?

Is it wrong that I picture Mitch Kupchak sitting on his hands while reading this and saying "(bleep) it!"?

That organization is crazy. No one was trying to pick up that baton partway through the season.

The last two coaches we actually or even technically fired?

Mike Brown and Rudy T.

I seriously doubt he's interested after his experience with the FO of Chicago. I'm sure Tom has had his fill of crazy front office people.

I don't think the Kings FO is as crazy as the media plays them out to be...

Announcing that you're firing your coach during all-star and then taking it back is pretty cray. Thibs went through that already in CHI; having the FO undermine him and constant rumors about his impending firing while he had to still coach his team. Made it to the 2nd round playoffs despite all of that and then summarily fired him.

Who knows what's what in SAC but Karl is respected by other coaches so this can't be a good look (hence a lot of coaches have already declined consideration).

Lakers will pursue him. Lakers wanted him two years ago but Jeanie bullied them into hiring Byron.

George Karl is actually close friends with Thibs. Take that for whatever it's worth.

I'd welcome Karl as an assistant under Thibs for us next season. Let Thibs handle the defense and let Karl handle the offense. Perfect pairing.

It's rumored Thibs may join Kerr as a defensive coach. I don't think that would be a good idea. The Dubs are usually near the top of the league in defense.

I thought he was going to UNLV.
