I hate to say it but a love affair lasting almost 40 years will go on indefinite hiatus if Byron is retained. My question is how many of you will stay around if he's the coach next year. I'll still wish the Lakers success but barring a surprise finals run I'll be following the Lakers through box scores and the standings. The FO won't get a moldy penny from me.

I will believe that he was somehow helping us tank the year and that he's actually a way better coach than he's shown thus far.

That's the only way they'd retain him anyway.

I will still support the team... Byron is just setting himself to become the most disrespected man in the NBA.

I'll always support the Lakers. I'll just have less of a reason to watch; more accurately, I'll have a reason NOT to watch

I'll always watch. But it'll be such a painful experience if Byron is back.

I'll still support them, albeit passively, but won't be watching any of the games.

Imagine if you knew exactly how the future would turn out, but couldn't do anything to prevent it. That's exactly how I feel when watching him coach. His anachronistic offensive/defensive schemes, throwing players under the bus, hockey subs, iso-ball, reliance on Hibbert, etc, etc... you know exactly how the games will play out, and it's pure and utter torture.

No way I'm subjecting myself to that torture again. It's criminal how he stifled one of the best talents to come out of the draft in recent years.

All, or more accurately most, are fans for life but that doesn't mean watching games or attending games. If you do either it's like you're actively supporting the willful incompetence of the FO. I feel that crickets is more appropriate than boos if Byron is retained.

Whether Byron is here or not, if we don't have 1 above-average starter on the team I'm not watching many games next year.

Byron being the coach shouldn't make a difference if you are a Laker fan you stick by the club through thick and thin even if you think he's not the right person for the job. If Byron stays then it might be another tough season in-store but when you become a fan of a club it's what you sign up for. The ups like winning Championships back to back and the downs like this season.

I'll watch, but continue to be disappointed with management. If Phil comes though, it'll be harder for me to support the team.

Once a Lakers fan always a Lakers fan. Kobe said it after the game last night. You gotta go through the ups and downs.

I'm a fan but actively supporting willful incompetence is being myopic.

You can still support the team and be a fan even if you want Byron out? I want Byron to be replaced like many Laker fans do but I'll still watch most games next season even if he is the coach. There isn't anything we can do if the front office decide to keep Byron. You just have to wait until his time is up.

I watched one full game this season.
I will watch none if Byron scott is back.

Time is the most important thing we have in this world and wasting it on a piece of (bleep) entertainment like Lakers run by the Buss children is not a good way to spend free time.

I wouldn't care if a friggin' leprechaun or Duece2.0 for that matter were head coach of the Lakers I would still be behind them 1000%!

That's all I can control, the rest is up to the powers that be. I might be pissed but will never give up.
