Really? The jury is still out on Byron? Maybe without Kobe the worst coach in the history of the NBA will be great? We need to waste ANOTHER YEAR on this ass hole? _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I'll always watch the Lakers but with Byron comes increased suffering. |

The only thing Scott deserves is the boot.
Real life is real life. I love sports, and am loyal to my organizations, however, life is spent with time, I won't waste much of my time watching the train wreck that is Byron coaching.
If we get Ingrams, Durant and Derozan and still have Scott will I watch? Yes, probably, but if we get none and still have Scott, will I watch? Nah, I have better things to do with my life. |

I will tune them out until he's gone. I will follow the young players only but not watch many games. It's just a mess of a team and not fun at all. |

Exactly. Scott has the worst coaching record in NBA history of any coach with at least 1000 games yet he deserves a shot without Kobe? That's ridiculous. |

If you could put up with this season you can put up with anything. Even with Byron the Lakers will be better next season. |

So, the solution for Byron Scott's overall assery is to remove a hall of fame player from the team.

realistically, we are not competing for a championship next year. Might as well double back for another top 3 draft pick next year. |

It's not a solution, but you can't possibly believe he made us a better team this season. I imagine the first thing Byron will try to sell Mitch when they meet is that he can't wait to have a team than can actually run. |

I am and will always be a Laker fan.
That being said, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. While I hated for the Lakers to lose, their consistent inability to compete made for some very favorable wagering opportunities. |

I'm expecting him to return so I don't see anything changing for me.

Provided we keep the pick this year, it's completely unprotected next year. |

Not true. It's top 3 protected again in 2017. |

The fact that we have a top 3 pick made college basketball relevant for me this year. I watched more LSU and Duke basketball more compared to my beloved Bruins, another team in dire need of a new coach. |

Wow it really is but the odds of keeping it are...quite high if Byron sticks around. |

I'm Mamba Out until this P O S coach is gone. That's how much disdain I would have if he's still around. |

At the moment I feel like the front office has been judged unfairly in light of what was going to be an impending rebuild no matter what. If they retained Byron though it would certainly change my opinion there. I wouldn't stop watching the Lakers, but I'd question their chances moving forward because there is simply no justification in bringing him back unless that justification was a power play by Jeanie hoping to sabotage the front office and bring back Phil. Either way it would be a bad sign. |

If that meant that some of the douche bags around here would leave, I'm all for it!! Keep Scott and lose the douche bags!!
That being said, all things being considered, I want a new coach, but I've been a fan of the Lakers longer than Scott has been alive and I'm not gonna let him screw that up. I'm more worried about Jim Buss than Scott. _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain |
