How someone with the dubious records and horrible w/L record can still have his bravado is beyond me. The results speak for themselves Byron: you are by every measure the worst coach in the nba, and one of the worst in nba history. The numbers aren't exactly kind to him.

Because the people who make that decision just trashed us all year.

He probably does. But he's made mistakes too, there's no denying that. Look, John Wooden couldn't have done anything with this roster.

People act like basketball is something difficult to understand, perhaps like superstring theory, that only the elites, selected for their great intellect, such as former NBA players, can understand.

Truth is that both of statements are false.
1) Basketball does not require a great intellect to understand*.
2) Former NBA players are usually not intellectuals.

*Understanding the ins and outs of basketball does require some intellect (more than what Byron has) and a commitment to study the game.

I think a corpse could have done a better job than Byron

This team isn't making the playoffs no matter what, fine. But this team also isn't a (bleep) 17 win team. The Sixers last year won more games than this year's Lakers. That's how bad 17 wins is.

Nobody is asking for 40 wins from this roster, but asking for 25 is not too much. You can't tell me you look at Denver's roster and think "This team is 16 wins better than the Lakers'"

I can't believe Byron told the fans to go to hell. How do you keep a job after that?

This FO is lacking any balls. (for lack of a better term)
They probably think this fake tough guy act makes up for it.
Like the douche-y rich kid who pays the school bully to watch over him in some cheesy 80's flick.

Agreed. The Buss kids are spineless, silver-spoon fed genetic lottery winners that were oh so lucky to have the best owner in pro sports as their dad.

Byron is clearly smart enough to get away with playing stupid. So, considering the reaction he gets from fans and the media for his "stupidity" I wonder if people are smart enough to feel stupid themselves?

I agree for the most part. I'd say, "most" instead of "all."

And there it is....

I was rooting for Byron but he's been downright terrible this year.

If this were 2 million years ago he'd be the leader of the tribe that tried to club saber tooth tigers to death.

And in the foxhole with him will be the "Head of Snake" Ronnie Price.

Yes, he's smarter at basketball then most of his critics. He's just not smarter than any NBA coach. Hell, he's not smarter than most college coaches.

Technically, Byron is correct. Adam Morrison also had more basketball skill than 99% of the human population. He still sucked in the NBA..

Because the NBA is very difficult to play in, plus he was done after his injury.
