The worst case scenario is that we still have an "asset" to trade to the next chump... and if we could unload Bynum... we certainly can get rid of Dwight even if he has a mediocre season.
The best case is that he grows up a little and has a few good productive years on our way back to the playoffs.
The odds of Ezeli or Biyombo even the unproven Whiteside leading us to the playoffs seem significantly lower. | Fascinating that somebody thinks any of our young players (none have proven to be a legitimate leader)?will be able to change somebody who has a MAX contract.
Why would D12 want to be part of the offensive system that Luke will install and rarely features a postup player while not a title-contending team in the upcoming season. From teams like Charlotte (who will probably will lose Horford would be a better match and he would be back home.
Maybe we can pivot this discussion on the many better options (whether presently available or not) than Howard for the Lakers
• Boogie - obviously talented and having a track record of correctly behaving in the proper environment while presently in a very unstable management atmosphere
• Whiteside - legitimate questions regarding the consistent high level of play will be seen on the floor if he is not playing for a contract
• Chandler - a very good locker room presence and consistent performer that is interested in winning
• Pau and Noah - excellent locker room and leadership presence that can be a mentor for the next starting center for the Lakers. Together they can be invaluable in teaching what is needed to win
• Lopez - not a star center but a lessor version of Pau and Noah |

Let's see: no championship, losing athleticism, getting old, wanting to be paid 30mil/yr, wanting to be alpha while having fun.
No thank you. Rather save the money to spend on 3-4 good/average players to complete the team. |

Damn...
I hate Howard with passion, but I think I'll take him over the alternative you mentioned. I'm pretty sure of that. |

I love in & out and once tried eating 2 meals a day for a month. I gave up after 6 days. I wish in&out offers bacon and hot dogs like 5 guys. |

How old are you my man? That's not something you wish on your enemy let alone on yourself for a freaking basket ball Game?

^ yeah that was a little weird
Moving on
There was a report a few days ago that we were going after DeRozan and Joakim. Interestingly enough today a report came out saying Noah has been telling his teammates he's leaving.
Noah a few years ago was cool. But he's never developed and he's injury prone now.
I want Whiteside! Howard can be our towel boy for camp but keep him far away. |

I'm in the military so what I wish on my enemy is a lot worse than AIDS
But I know what you are trying to say, Noted!

So with MDA now as coach of the Rockets, I'm thinking Dwight opts out. Do we offer him something? |

Did the Rockets hire MDA just to encourage Howard to opt out this year? _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

Howard will be a Hornet so don't worry he's not coming here. Clifford and him are close and they run a type of offense that fits him. He can go in and almost be their best player right there with Kemba( who I see having a great great year and talks as a possible allstar starter, I see a breakout). Hornets can be a solid team next year with
Walker - Lin
Lamb - 22 ( Malcai Richardson)
Batum - MKG
Williams - Kamunsky
Howard - Zeller
