thats because in spurs they play to each player's strength. even the way minutes are allocated determine the pace of attack etc. everything is just clockwork |
Popovich has perfected his system. He's got the SECRET SAUCES! |
he has. his system has hit the point where it can run by itself, all he needs season after season is 1 for 1 replacement man. no problems like what if kobe retires or curry gets injured. in SA the system is the star |

EASTERN Conference
- Wizards he isn't going home
- Boston is interesting but will he go there?
- Miami but Riley will have to dump Wade or figure out a way to free up cap space
- New York and deal with the craziness?
WESTERN Conference
- Golden State, but like some have said that's Curry's team
- San Antonio, they need to free up another $10M but ill he want to play 2nd fiddle to Kawhi?
- Houston, eh
- Phoenix is really talented but if you go there you may as well go to LA
- Dallas, he just called Cuban an idiot so adios to that one
- Portland is intriguing but come on
Come to think of it, the LAKERS aren't so bad after all when Golden State and San Antonio offer him the best chance at winning the ring but be looked at as just another sidekick. |
Hate to say it but, all things considered, Boston seems like the best fit to me. |
leaving for anyother team would mean hes conceeding and joining someone elses team. if we can put.something together we stand a chance |
We have about $65M + potentially a #1/2/3 pick + DLo/Randle/Nance Jr.
Take away $30M for Durant and the team has $35M to spend and build a pretty damn good team around him.
Come next year, Lakers make some moves in unloading Young and Lou plus a bump in cap space and you may have another $15-25M to spend. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

New Orleans to team with Brow
Atlanta, which is playoff team that could use him

You mean the same GSW where Curry has sat out the 4th quarter in 38 games this season because they had big enough leads they didn't need him? GSW prides themselves on being "everyone's team" - Curry might be the best player on the team, but he's not egotistical about it. I get the distinct impression KD could live with that considering how unassuming he is. Winning cures all ills too _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

That's a wait it out scenario though. At his age not sure he wants to wait a couple years before he can compete for a ring. I wouldn't if I were him. The greats measure themselves in rings. He has to get going. _________________ I'm a Balliever. |

Same here.
The Spurs got some extra rest last year by getting bounced in the 1st round. Reloaded with guys like LMA, not to mention while the Warriors were trying to beat the Bulls record, the Spurs were managing their players minutes carefully. With Curry going down, who knows if they will be able to come back with the same attack mode they were in the regular season. |

meanwhile, OKC's effort in this game is just sad.

OKC peaked once they got to the Finals...I don't think they will get back there anytime soon. IMO, one of the great underachieving teams in the west when you consider the talent that went thru that team. |

Love it, hopefully Durant leaves then they are forced to trade Westbrook. Sam Presti is the most overrated GM in the history of the league, dude gets some much credit for not doing anything, he gave away harden for free, refused to amnesty Perkins so they could keep Harden, overpay for role players. OKC's run ends after they lose to the Spurs, they were lucky Durant fell on their lap. |

All those times they made the playoffs and they got what? I conference title banner to show for it? Meanwhile, when the Warriors became relevant again, they did more in less time by winning the championship the first year they went deep in the playoffs. I think the blame goes to the GM for not building a team that can compliment Durant and Westbrook. |

Besides Durant and Westbrook, this Thunder team is garbage. Hell, without just Durant, they were a lottery team last year.
We will have a much better supporting cast for Durant this offseason than what the Thunder (exception of Westbrook) have despite the youth as well as a much better future and a front office that is willing to do anything they can to get titles. Unlike the Thunder (trading Harden for scraps instead of giving him his money), Lakers are not cheap with money and will pay top dollar to keep the pieces.
Not that I actually think Durant will sign here but that Thunder team has peaked years ago and won't get any better while this Lakers team with him here won't take that much longer to soon be real contenders again. Him being here makes more sense than tread milling on the Thunder. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

This beat down might convince Durant to leave OKC, but not to the Lakers. We are YEARS away, and his clock is ticking. Even with KD, we aren't in the same stratosphere as the Spurs. |
I'd assume that if KD comes, he's bringing peeps with him. |

Must be nice to come back and play after 7 days of rest. It would really suck if the Spurs go on to win it all...it will send a message to other teams that resting players is the way to go. Gone are the days that the best teams/players played every game with the same competitive spirit, be it the regular season and playoffs. Hopefully the Warriors get healthy by the WCF so they can knock out the Spurs. They've proven they can blow out the Spurs at home and win in SA too. |

I wouldn't want to bet on that
KD's a good player, but I don't see much about him that's likely to have FA's flocking to the door like Shaq used to draw or like Lebron's done.
LAL getting KD probably draws additional FA interest, just because the FA's would see LAL as being more competitive - but I doubt they're really be following KD as much as they'd just think LAL wouldn't suck hind anymore _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Durant to the Spurs is a real possibility, it has been said, we'll see.
Warriors still favorites imo, but that series is going to be something to behold, of that i've no doubts, two of the greatest teams ever going toe to toe.
Scary and exciting to be honest |

I think the Billy Donovan and Fred Hoiberg coaching hires were disasters this year. Neither improved their teams. |
