|
|
It's starting to drift away. All those times we took winning for granted and presumed a deep playoff run every year. A prime Kobe and pau. Guys like Odom coming off the bench. Shaq and the crew of vets and so on.
With the possibility of Byron coming back this is getting downright depressing. I was around for the 1990s post Magic rebuild (and of course Showtime) and I always remembered the Lakers still being exciting.
If Byron returns this is just too much to stomach. I'm starting to forget what winning felt like. I guess this is what it feels when doves cry (Artist formerly known as Prince voice). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

If the Lakers retain Byron Scott I'm not watching this team anymore.
I can't believe that our front office has doubts about firing the worst coach we ever had. |

I mean we aren't even at the bottom of the mountain. We're still underground and wondering why there is no sunlight. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yes. The fact that I consider if we get 30+ wins next season a major improvement... |

All we look forward to is the lottery.
New coaches.
Begging free agents to join a sinking ship.
And so on.
Doesn't the Buss family have one ounce of pride? They are still raking in millions off the back of their father who worked so hard to put this together. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The last memories of the lakers being on top is game 7 from 2010. Crazy how far we are from that mountain top. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It's not that I have forgotten what winning looks like, it's that I have accepted losing. That's much worse. |

An actual TEAM would be a great start. We have a bunch of dudes just thrown together at the moment. No stability. No culture. Hard to win when there's no direction. Sad. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

Losing is part of the process. We as fans have been spoiled for a long time especially the ones that became fans during the 3-peat Lakers. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Don't lose hope and faith - we're a winning organization and have won so much for you to feel like this.
It will all turn around, just takes a bit of time. |

A typical rebuilding process takes more than five years; look at the Knicks, they've been losing seemingly forever, and they're supposed to be a big market team. Patience is a virtue, we're essentially going into what can be argued as Year 1 or Year 2 of Rebuilding. |

yea. being at the complete opposite end of the spectrum is the disorientating thing. Once we get back to competing game-in and game-out, then I'll find my bearings as a sports fan |

It starts with ownership, and the coach.
Buss kids are not selling, I wish they would be hands off, and hire Ettore Messina as coach.
Possibly hire Calipari as coach and also allow him to "consult" with Mitch on whom he gets to coach. |

Best thing about Kobe's last game was being able to feel good about the lakers again. _________________ *sighs*

I would say this is year 2. 2014/15 was year 1 w/the drafting of Randle. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

I still know what it feels like. We've been so fortunate as fans over the years winning with Kobe, Shaq, and Pau. It's a cycle every team goes through it. I might be the exception but I'm loving the youth movement.
It's fun to me watching the young guys develop and get better every year. It doesn't matter to me if we win 30 games next year as long as JC, Dlo, Randle, and hopefully Ingram develop the right way. Despite the bad coaches they hired the Lakers Front Office has been great at drafting players. I see light at the end of the tunnel. It might take 3 years to get there but I think we will. |
