Yeah that thought also crossed my mind seems rather eerie and full circle.

LEGEND!

I figured that was While My Guitar Gently Weeps before I even clicked on the link. Love that video and that performance.

I was at that concert when he opened for the Rolling Stones at the Coliseum and got booed off the stage. Folks just weren't ready for his music and style. Three years later he was one of the biggest music stars in the world.

TMZ doesn't usually get these stories wrong....if true, its sad that he would succumb to drugs.

Odds are that drugs were a big influence on his music.

I read about that in a book by music journalist Touré, who's a big prince fan. Apparently Prince was opening up for the Stones for some of their shows in cali. The audience was mostly white folks of the biker/truck driver variety who weren't hip to r&b and synth-funk, much less when performed by a guy in a trench coat and bikini briefs. They proceeded to throw bottles and vegetables at him.

Speaking of books, Prince was supposed to come out with his own memoir at some point next year. I was sooo looking forward to that.

Eh they have in the past but I could see it being an accidental one. I think he was sick personally it was well known he wasn't into those drugs... I mean yeah I know not to put anything past celebs but I think if he was into the hard stuff he wouldn't be able to tour either.

I don't think he would OD on hard drugs. We know people have died because their immune system reacted violently to prescription drugs that were supposedly safe.

Ugh at that transcript. The caller was probably high himself. That sounds like the transcript of the call to EMS regarding Len Bias.

Denise Vanity Matthews died at 57, too. That was like, what, 3 months ago? I remember posting that she was beautiful at her peak before the yayo took hold.

A legendary talent and performer. Very unique and innovative and a brilliant musician. The closest in the modern era (in a different style of course) would be maybe Beck?

Just rumors, I don't believe he had AIDS. I think it's either from pneumonia or a blood clot in his lungs plus heart a heart condition.

She was very attractive. She did a Playboy photo shoot somewhere in the late 80's.

Quote:
A rep for the Medical Examiner's Office said the autopsy was complete, but they will not release any results until toxicology testing is also complete ... and that could take several weeks.

We broke the story ... Prince had been to his local Walgreens 4 times in the week before his death -- and had been treated for a Percocet OD in Moline, IL last week. When asked if he knew of any medications Prince was taking ...the Sheriff said he "would not confirm."

Wonder if Prince would still be here with us if he had used medical marijuana to treat his pain instead of prescription drugs....

Can't believe I saw Kobe play his last game as a Laker and then Prince passing away within the span of a week. Two of my biggest idols in this life. Life is short, gotta enjoy every minute of it.

Well drugs would certainly be the most unique way a musician would die. As a demographic, musicians are the least likely to even experiment with drugs. It would be pretty much unheard of!

Wouldn't he be gaunt if he was in his final days of AIDS?
He was touring so if he was dying it would've been noticeable.

He's always been gaunt. It would make sense if he had AIDS then catching the flu would be life threatening.

Not really. Prince was skinny. Gaunt would be like what Steve Jobs was in his final days, his body was wasting away and he pretty much lost muscle definition. A good indicator would be looking at the fat on a person's face.

Actually, it sounds like he died from opiate overdose.

Obviously there's a lot to be revealed, but given the fact that his flight was diverted in immediate faction and the reaSon was to rush him a drug to counter-act an opiate overdose, It's pretty safe to say that AID's ins't the cause.

Prince didn't have a history of using drugs but he was promiscuous.

Looking at the history of women he's dated aids doesn't seem likely. Misty Copeland, Carmen Electra, Kim Basinger, Sheena Easton to name a few.

That's not to say aids is not possible because it's not only contracted through sexual contact (not saying he had sex with aforementioned).

If I had to guess I'd lean more more towards a opiate over dose.

As it stands I'll wait for the coroner report.
