I know pio2u is ardently posting updates in the official thread, but I thought this deserved its own topic. I'm very excited for our affiliate d-league team this season. They've shown more growth, more cohesiveness and more unity than the Lakers have this season. It helps that they are well coached and have some very solid players in Gomes, Blue, Harper and Magette. Would much rather have Casey Owens than Byron Scott as our head coach. Players genuinely want to play for him.

He knows his stuff. The Gomes signing was huge for them. Ended up being voted 2015-16 NBA D-League Impact Player of the Year -

I'd rather have him than Phil as president. We should send the wrong Buss to Defenders

It's criminal that the d-fenders are running better sets than the Lakers.

D-Fenders need to play in a bigger venue, El Segundo seems too small (capacity wise) to host games.

They used to play at Staples Center....
The arena was too big for the people that showed up to the games.
Most of the D-League teams have basically moved to smaller gyms since that is pretty much how much people show up to watch the games.I'm guessing part of it is a cost saving move as it allows the league to be viable and prop it up as a feeder series to the NBA. I know that the Defenders have the smallest capacity of all the D-League teams, but if you saw how much people showed up to the games, I would say that is about the correct size.
