Second, why would KD think he needs to wait for us to sign someone like Whiteside first?? Don't you think it will be much easier for us to land someone like Whiteside, if we ALREADY have signed KD??
If we sign KD, I will go on record as saying another major signing is imminent and everyone in the league will be lining up to be that person!!!
This is all going to depend on how the Thunder do in the playoffs and if they have enough to go all the way. |
First off - Nope, Boston has a far superior roster for KD to join forces with right now. They're well coached and the young players are already realizing their potential as opposed to wasting 1 or 2 years of Durant's prime while an even younger LAL group develops. Celtics hatred doesn't need to be of the blind variety. Plus, I was clear that Boston and WDC are just examples of where he could land. I never implied that either should be his priority.
Second - pretty pointless questions when the real question is Why would Durant leave OKC to come to LAL's current roster based on the premise that KD plus a bunch of "potential" on the roster will be enough to attract the other players needed to compete all during the same off season? Please explain why KD decides to do that instead of going to a better situation or just staying with OKC? I expect him to leave them. But, I don't see any compelling argument for why he comes to the Lakers.
The only way I can envision Durant coming is if he pulls a LeBron and works with preferred free agents to have 2 or 3 of them come to the team. It could happen. But, given our FO performance ever since Doc has been out of the scene, it seems far fetched.
Per your bolded guarantee - way to really reach with the Captain Obvious prophecy. "If we sign KD..." Exactly. Only if... Again, what is Durant's motivation to sign in LA in the first place? Everything your saying is based on him choosing to come to the 2nd worst team of the season instead of elsewhere. Why would he do that? |

JVG love is just hilarious! OMG! What is the infatuation with such an average coach who hasn't "coached" in damn near 10 yrs!? _________________ Do you believe it now, Trinity? - Morpheous |
