Do we trade pick? For what? I wouldn't mind just simply drafting Hield and keeping him. He would be a good choice for a few reasons:

At 23 years old, he is more mature and more nba ready perhaps more than anybody in the draft. We are in win now mode. This also looks good to free agents. Another thing is he is a semi household name, he is marketable. Not to mention he is arguably one of the best shooters on the planet. He don't demmand the ball in his hands either, this is good. I say draft him and then you either could nab a proven player (like Butler) for him, or just keep him. Hield is arguably a better fit for this team than Butler.

This is an important topic though. It don't really belong in draft or trade thread because it has to do what both.

If PG is available, I would do #3 in a heart beat. He has better length then a guy like Butler and he is a much better shooter. Randle is a good rebounder, but he could easily be replaced.

Draft Dunn.
We don't need another young combo guard. But he's the BPA at #3.
And he could turn out to be better than DLO or Clarkson in the long run.

For what though? That's one of the reasons for this thread. A lot of people are saying trade the pick but they keep saying Butler (not great fit) and Cousins (highly unlikely). I don't really hear any other names except some ugly trade down the draft board scenarios.

Butler fits in nicely with Durant. That's all that matters.

If we decide to stick with rebuilding with young guys I wouldn't mind trading down. If we could trade down and acquire another pick or prospect it might be a good move...or not.

If the Lakers hire Luke and the Lakers get the #3 pick, I have a feeling they may trade down a few notches to say #7 with Denver to pick up an additional first rounder (Denver has #7, 15, 19).

At #7 take Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield. If not those 2, go big with Poeltl oR Sabonis.

At #15 or 19 you could likely draft Denzel Valentine.

I don't think that is a good idea. Quality > Quantity.

Listen, if we ate fortunate enough to sign KD, then I wouldn't mind trading the pick for whatever pieced fit. But, I wouldn't trade the pick for Butler until I know for sure that we got KD.

I would still consider trading that pick for PG.

We probably pick Simmons and though. Well, maybe we pick Simmons and ask KD what he wants to do with the pick?

We already have too many young kids to develop. Adding more, specifically when they're not even top 5, is just dumb.
