So who do you think Luke will put on his staff? Assistant coach? Offensive and Defensive coordinators?
I wonder if we'll still see Madsen on staff. Not sure if he's Assistant Coach material, but I could see it.
I was also thinking Turiaf would probably be a decent big man coach.
Wouldn't mind seeing Kobe make some guest appearances.
But I really have no idea who Luke would have in mind. |

I'd like to see his staff be Blatt, Shaw, Nash, and Metta. |

NASH!!!! _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Totally forgot about Nash and how he's advising GS.
He'd be great.
Not sure if he wants it, but damn, that would be epic. |

Gosh no.
I would quit my job and work for 1/10th of an asst coach's salary and fetch everyone coffee, donuts, lunch if it means keeping Rambis the heck out of our half of Staples Center. _________________ Great Day In Laker History |

Nash would be great theoretically. Also, one day Metta could be great in some aspects.
Get a thorough analytic department. Get some new blood to take over Vitti's job.
With the new practice facility in the works, things are starting to feel pretty good. |

If it includes Shaw and Fisher we're [expletive]d.
I didn't conveniently forget how bad those two were.
I'd rather people not be brought in just cause they were former Lakers.
Go about it actually seriously, and get an experienced, solid and proven assistant coach that can help offset Luke's inexperience and help him overcome the little errors. And a very solid defensive Assistant.

Not saying I want it, but I heard that's how it is going to play out. |

Judging by how Luke chose to pick what college he played at, I can see Luke reaching out to some fresh blood. Guys whose he is impressed by for their basketball minds, above all else.
We now have the luxury of being able to rely on our head coach to translate those xs and os to the players and get them to buy in. _________________ BORN REBLE |

I would also expect Luke to talk with Lute Olson, Kerr, and Phil Jackson about assistants before he makes any choices. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Blatt can play the role of Tex Winter, he'll be perfect if he can't get a HC gig this summer. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

Kwame is busy, in the CFL playing receiver.. They call him "black hole hands" because the ball just gets lost in them, or because he's very black. either way.
(and i can say that) |
