GS's style is not going to decide this series.

GSW model is not GSW model. Its the MDA model that caters to its guards because they are the best shooting duo in NBA history.

Lakers model will be more like the MDA model in PHX but with an eventual perimeter scoring machine in Ingram.

Yeah, the specifics of the GS model are based on Curry's ridiculous range and ballhandling, but the fundamentals are well worth copying.

Ball movement, spacing, and limited ISO's is what people should be focusing on from GSW's style
GSW has just gone to something of an extreme to maximize Curry/Klay's long range shooting capability

Exactly. Don't focus on Curry, who is one of a kind. Focus on the core principles.

GS's style is not going to decide this series.

Players win series at this level... namely the superstars... when teams are evenly matched in terms of talent. Westbrook/Durant have outplayed Curry/Thompson. Green has been subpar so he's not making up the difference.

Only 3 games into the series however and 2-1 is not unsurmountable. I remember Kobe/Shaw going down 2-1 a couple of times and coming back from it.

True, that team's been together for a couple years longer than our core. Should be interesting to track our progression to theirs.

Depends on how you match them up. I think it's 2 to 2 for the positions we know about.

Giannis...........Ingram
Middleton........Clarkson
Parker............Randle
MCW..............Russell
Monroe...........???

Kobe and Shaw were quite deadly, but I think that was mostly because of Kobe.

Biyombo would dominate Monroe.

If D'Angelo Russell shoots 27% from 3-point range next season, or puts up a sub-.500 true shooting %, as MCW did last season, things will not be going well in Laker land.

MCW has never even hit 30% 3pt percentage once in his career. D'angelo is already near 40% 3pt percentage. I don't expect Russell to have a regression like that.

Giannis is the starting PG for the Bucks now with MCW coming off the bench.

Brian Shaw in 2009 was tasked with scouting the Magic. Film, Stats, Rotations, Etc. and did an amazing job. It appears that this time around he will play a similar role on Luke's staff. Not the defense guy, not the x's and o's guy. He will be our advanced analytic's point and the one scouting and prepping our team for match ups. This is exciting as it was something sorely lacking on BS's staff. Instead of going into games with set rotations and lineups we will have the ability and flexibility to adjust strategies and lineups based on our opponent both in game and prior to games. ( like a real basketball team ). Expect Luke and his staff to rely heavily on analytic's this season. Welcome to the modern age of Basketball, better late than never!

Sorry I could't share more but this is what I'm hearing as of late.

Honestly, it's not about style.

We will actually have an offense, and hopefully defense as well.

Thanks for the insider info. It sounds like Luke will be flexible with his lineups, much like Stevens, thanks to the scouting of Shaw. It sounds like B-Shaw will have an instrumental role this year with the team. I'm just excited to hear that we have our first seemingly competent coach since Phil
